Early Childhood Management Services
Website
Early Childhood Management Services (ECMS) has been providing high quality and inclusive early learning and care for Melbourne children, families and communities for more than 22 years. Our almost 70 kindergartens and childcare centres now touch the lives of 6500 children across Melbourne each week.

Each of our kindergartens and childcare centres is designed to reflect the needs of its local community and families. This ensures children and families get the most out of the time in their ECMS early learning and care centre. As a not-for-profit organisation, it is our vision, purpose and values that guide our work each day.
Services
Early Years Management (EYM) was introduced by the Department of Education and Training (DET) in 2016 to replace Kindergarten Cluster Management (KCM). Early Years Managers have expertise in the delivery of high-quality early childhood education and care services.

The move towards EYM is designed to reduce the management and administrative burden on volunteer committees and support kindergartens so they can continually increase their service standards.Children benefit from high-quality, inclusive services provided by professionals who are well supported to adopt contemporary and evidence-based practices.
As an early childhood sector leader, ECMS is committed to influencing positive change for children, families and communities. Participating in a quality early learning program is a proven way to amplify children's learning and development. It helps children build the physical, emotional, social, language and cognitive skills they need to start school well.
ECMS has established a broad range of partnerships to enable us to continue to provide high-quality, innovative, inclusive and responsive early learning and care services. These partnerships relate to evidence-based practice, staff professional development and building research into our everyday service delivery.
Enrolling your child in a quality three and four-year-old kindergarten program is a proven way to amplify their early development. Kindergarten works alongside home-based learning, equipping children with the skills and confidence they need to start school well. ECMS operates more than 50 high-quality three and four-year-old kindergarten programs all over Melbourne.
You'll no doubt be looking for a centre where your child will be safe, nurtured, stimulated and happy. But it also needs to be close to your work or home, within your budget and have availability on the days you need. Because quality childcare is about so much more than 'caring' for children. Quality childcare also helps children develop important physical, social, intellectual, language and emotional skills.

My daughter's 4 year old kinder teachers Bek and Kim have been exceptional. The children absolutely adore them. Our usually anxious girl absolutely loves attending school. Communication has been good - especially through these unprecedented times. Thanks ECMS, absolutely thrilled with our experience so far.

Recruitment Agent "Linda Johnson" was so incredibly rude to me over the phone. Basically degrading me and her tone of voice was sarcastic and angry. She didn't even hear what I had to say, and before listening to my answers to her questions she said "I am going to cease your application for this role", meaning she is going to delete my application. All because my resume needed more information, which i would have gladly given her if she only just asked. Because of her rude remarks and tone, I agreed to her ceasing my application anyway, as I would not want to talk to her ever again. She then responded

My friend worked for QV childcare and lost money while at work. i hope security will be properly implemented in this childcare. from staff to client's , stuffs are missing!!! my friend worked hard for her money… and no one can tell where it is? simply because there is no CCTV in this workplace. talk about being trustworthy and secured place for your kids when you cant even take care of your staff's belonging!

I just started working with ECMS a few months back and this place is so concerned with consistently working towards a better future for our children. At the induction I found out the head honchos are involved with advocating child rights through lawmaking in Australia, makes me proud to be a part of it. And a sweet something about my own workplace, my director comes on the floor every morning to ask for updates on each of our 80+ children greeting each one by name...it’s a gorgeous way to start the day.

Since these people have been continually deleting my friend’s review, I have posted it myself.
“My son sustained a fracture to his right femur at QV CHILDREN’S CENTRE on June 29th 2017.
The Centre Director and carers had concerns about Liam’s lack of movement that day but FAILED to contact me about it.
I picked up my son and it was very obvious… that he was distressed and in pain. You didn’t contact me immediately as per your policy and it haunts me that you left him in that state for who knows how long.
Your staff change their statements to the police, CPS

My son attended both QV and Thinking Kids from the age of 7 months he absolutely loved both centres. All the educators were caring and responsive to his needs. Very professional and had great educational programs and helped him develop to the best he can be. Thank you to all the staff at QV and Thinking kids for all your hard work and dedication

#APPRECIATIONPOST I have been a part of ecms for almost 8 years now and just want to say that the support i have been given over the years has been remarkable. I started of a cert 3 then was given the opportunity to do my diploma to which i became a room leader. After 2 years at ecms i then stepped up 2 being 2IC. I can now proudly say I am a director but from saying that, it was from all the staff that made me feel i can do it and the faith they had in me. Once again thank you all at ECMS for giving me this wonderful opportunity
