Waverley Plastic Surgery (WPS) is located in the suburb of Chadstone, just off the Monash Freeway. The team is led by accredited Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon, Mr David Ying (see David's training below). WPS is primarily a health care provider with 80 percent of all surgeries performed by David by way of his Australia wide General Practitioner referral base.
David's cosmetic patients also come from far and wide and are from varied walks of life. Many of them are the family of other healthcare professionals who rely on David's gentle and professional approach, rather than aggressive sales tactics. David's aim is to understand the patient's goal well before they choose to undergo surgery, to ensure the most successful and pleasing result.

After all the hard work of dramatic weight loss, it can be devastating to discover that you are left with sagging skin around the bottom, thighs, hips and tummy!. Post significant weight loss (whether it be through diet and exercise or with bariatric surgery) or ageing, excess skin can develop, especially in the abdominal area.
Abdominoplasty (also known as the tummy tuck) is one of the most frequently performed procedures carried out by plastic surgeons. Most patients are female and have concerns about bulging, floppiness, folds of skin, stretchmarks and weakness of the tummy region.
These commonly occur after pregnancy and childbirth, but they can also be a problem in patients who have managed to lose significant amounts of body weight, either from diet and exercise, or after weight loss surgery (for instance "lap band" surgery).Patients usually complain about skin irritation and rashes, difficulty fitting into clothes and being self-conscious in tighter clothes, especially swimwear.

A brachioplasty, commonly called an arm lift or reduction, is a surgical procedure that removes the excess fat and skin over the underarm and elbow and thus, reshapes and provides improved contour to the upper arms and connecting area of chest wall. Ageing, weight fluctuations and genetic factors result in sagging and drooping of the upper arms.
Excessive size of the breasts can cause many problems including; neck ache, back pain, bra strap grooves of the shoulders and rashes in the skin creases under the breasts. Breast reduction surgery to reduce the size of the breasts may help to alleviate most of these problems, as well as improving your self-esteem by bringing the size of your breasts back into proportion with the rest of your body.

This is my go to place for my annual procedures.
COVID measures are in place and executed throughout the entire facility. The staff are friendly and more importantly extreme proficient in handling their responsibilities from registration to insurance. Explanations of any procedures and outcomes are done in a professional manner without condescension.
Warm, friendly and very competent!

The entire process was inefficient and daunting. The door was locked. What if I didn't have a phone? The intake staff was rude. There were mountains of paperwork that I could have filled out before coming there. But no, I had to fill them out in a waiting room. I was made to stand with a very bad back injury and answer unnecessarily slow covid questions. I had a current covid test from 48 hours prior. My ride was called 45 minutes before the Dr came out and it was suggested that she wait in the garage with her two young children for 45 minutes. The whole situation was disorganized and chaotic.
