Services
SydPath offers a home visit service to those patients who cannot attend one of our collection centres. We can organise home visits at your convenience. Our services are available Monday-Friday 730am-400pm. Outside these hours an on call services is available for emergency visits. The SydPath courier service encompasses a variety of transportation methods of samples.
All major pathology disciplines, including anatomical pathology, chemical pathology, clinical pharmacology and toxicology, microbiology, immunopathology and haematology. Specialised laboratory and consultative services in endocrinology, clinical pharmacology and immunopathology. Professional clinical consultative services in haematology, transfusion medicine, immunopathology and infectious diseases.
SydPath's Department of Tissue Pathology and Cancer Genetics (comprising Anatomical Pathology, Cytopathology and Molecular Tissue Genetics) offers sub-speciality diagnostic expertise across the full range of adult histopathology and cytopathology testing and bring tertiary-level expertise to cases referred by clinicians both on and off the St Vincent's campus.
SydPath's Anatomical Pathology service is part of the Department of Tissue Pathology and Cancer Genetics. Our pathologists provide subspeciality expertise across the full range of adult histopathology testing, and are actively involved in teaching and research. Routine histology processing and reporting of formalin fixed tissues (operative specimens, skin biopsies, endoscopic biopsies and needle core biopsies).
The SydPath department of chemical pathology provides a comprehensive testing service with a focus on rapid result availability, analytical quality and interpretive support. The department has invested in automation to provide over 70 common tests consistently within two hours from sample arrival in the laboratory, with many results being available in well under this time.

Awful service. Stood at the counter for 10 minutes while they all chatted and then one girl finally begrudgingly came over. She said really hesitantly that they were closed when according to signs they had another 20 minutes. Just to be clear this is the clinic on level 6 and not the collection centre on 3.
