As my Sensei welcomed me, I welcome you to your first steps and movements in the world of Goju-Ryu Karate. To some people Karate is combat. To others, it is primarily for show. There are dozens of other approaches ranging from religion or a teaching device to physical fitness or self-defence. However you choose to define it, the art of karate has endless dimensions.

Karate is mental and physical, artistic and grotesque, practical and non-practical, violent and graceful, and so much more. Goju-Ryu Karate is subjective, incomplete, and is constantly changing. It is impossible to fully comprehend the entirety of Karate, but here at Goju-Ryu Karate Dojo we will learn as much as we can.
