I used to visit here often. It still is a great place but for some crazy reason every visit lately has had its issues.
The food can be very good or very bad. The service can be very good or very bad and some things just don’t seem to run correctly. And I don’t think its a staff issue, I think its a management problem. They couldn’t even turn the TV to the correct channel to watch the AFL grand final? And they advertised they were going to show it? They have messed up many of our meals, forgotten some or just fed me a piece of slow cooked chuck steak when in fact I had paid for eye fillet

We are always grateful to staff that exceed a professional and friendly standard. You know. You can get real bad service in Darwin and in fact Darwin is rebound for it EXCEPT at Parap Tavern, where it’s like coming home. It’s like coming home to the family home. Lots of friendly great service & a genuine smiles- a welcoming feel. Tap order and pay a new system. Very easy to use but takes away the personal feel that punters like. Still we live in a world of Covid and as long as we all play our part around responsibilities and safety. Then this could be the new future. Let’s hope not

Once again we had an excellent luncheon meal at the Parap Tavern Bistro today.
We come here to enjoy fine food, excellent service and the relaxing atmosphere.
The staff are very welcoming and professional.
Prices are very reasonable and it is a good place to meet and, for some, have business discussion.
Great to see and witness a safe and welcoming place for families, workers and older Territorians and tourists

Came here few times and always happy with the food quality & great services. They not only serves nice meals, the presentation are also excellent, with reasonable price. The last time i visited this resto was on Easter Friday, i invited some friends too.. we ordered; 1 Seafood Linguine, 3 Pork Ribs, 1 Steak, 1 Crispy skin salmon, 2 kids menu & drinks. We truly enjoyed & satisfied with the foods, all meals were SUPERB.
Definitely will coming back again! Thanks CHEF!!
P.s: if you visit Darwin, and can’t figure out what to eat just pop-in to this restaurant!! You won’t regret it! 💛💛

Staff were friendly and helpful.
Visited for lunch and was a little disappointed. Food had been left at the counter for too long, so 'Hot chips' were cold. We ordered the Parap Burger which was tasty and a good size. Also a Steak Sanga, with the steak itself delicious. Unfortunately the roll was a little dry and hard.
I think if the meals had been served immediately from cooking they would have been great.
Plenty of seating in the dining area.
Outside in the courtyard there is a variety of seating and a large Television screen. Also fans running for a cool breeze.
There is also a gaming room
