Small World Child Care is located in the Nerang / Carrara area. We are a family owned and operated service and came alive in 1989 when our Approved Provider had a dream of operating her own child care centre which she has successfully been doing for the past 30 years.
Our Approved Provider has displayed her dedication, passion, care, trust and empathy towards all the families and children who have attended Small World in the past and present, often receiving visits from Adults and young people who recall the wonderful experiences they had at Small World when they were children, many have wished they were still children so they could continue enjoying the fun times they recalled at Small World.

Services
Small World provides healthy and appetising menu for morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea which is included in the daily fees. All children are provided with a with a warm, nutritious and culturally appropriate freshly cooked lunch and dessert. Children are offered milk during morning tea and water is encouraged during the day.
We employ a fully qualified Early Childhood Teacher to deliver an approved kindergarten program to those children who are going to prep the following year. The Early Years Learning Framework is part of the Council of Australian Government's (COAG) reform agenda for early childhood education and care and is a key component of the Australian Government's National Quality Framework for early childhood education and care.

I’ve sent both my kids to small world, and it’s just a really family friendly kindy. So clean, wonderful happy and nourturing staff and beautiful fresh cooked meals that I can always smell outside. I’ve never had to worry about my kids being there, it’s such a great place that my children loved going to. We have always felt very welcome and comfortable there and would highly recommend it.

Smallworld is definitely "home away from home" my daughter attended smallworld from a baby to Miss Alisons room. I can not fault the service we received from Kika and her team! it was very sad when Kayla left smallworld but kids grow up. Kika and her team are very supportive of our needs and daughters during her time at smallworld - the meals that they provide are outstanding, our favourites are cheesy chicken pasta and greek pasta - both which i have learnt to cook. We live in Robina and travel to Carrara to attend this centre!

My son went to Smallworld 13 yrs ago and now we are back there with my daughter. Kika and the team really do provide a home away from home for the kids and it does feel like you are part of a big family. Kika provides the best home cooked meals and caters for my daughter who is vegetarian. All of the educators are approachable, honest and caring.

I loved sending my daughter to Small World, just watching her face light up when she met Kika and the teachers made me feel totally at ease while I went to work. My daughter even told me off for picking her up early one day because she was having so much fun. We still visit Kika (many years later) and love watching the effort that goes into making a family environment for these children and share delightful stories of why the strawberries don't grow (we had seen the flowers being picked for daisy chains). Thoroughly recommend Small World.

I cant say enough positive comments about this childcare and all the staff. Kika is AMAZING!!! Tammie, Alison Tahnee Chloe & Diana are just some of the fantastic teachers my girls have had through out the years and all the rest out the staff are so lovely and caring. My daughters have been attending Small World Child Care since my oldest daughter was 2 in 2015. She is now in year 2 and every time we go and pick her sister up (who is 3) She runs to say hi to her old teachers, play in the playground and she even asks if she can go to day care in the school holidays with her little sister. I have known Keka for 22 years now (My entire life) and consider her my second Mum. She has taken care of me before I could walk or talk and I still visit her every time I’m back on the Coast. To see her devote her blood, sweat, soul and life into this centre amazes me and no one else’s banana bread is even close enough to how good hers is. I couldn’t recommend a better place for your child to be looked after and cared for and build memories to last a lifetime.

I had both my children enrolled at Smallworld from the age of 1. They both had a brilliant experience and continued to attend whilst at school with before and after school care. They were provided with freshly cooked meals every day, fresh fruit and snacks for morning and afternoon tea and I even had the privilege of getting a cooked lunch to take to work if there was spare and if I was late, I got dinner as it was left over. I am still a huge part of the Smallworld family and play the Easter Bunny, my father in law plays Santa and my kids love to go back and visit and give "Miss Kika" and other

Small world is truely a home away from home. I went to the kindy as a child and 26 years later am still returning for the occasional visit.
Physically Small World has changed a fair bit since I attended but the one thing that has always remained the same is the love, care and dedication exhibited by all the staff members. I have nothing but fond memories of Kika and my time at Small world. I would throughly recommend the place to anyone considering a Kindy for their child.

My son has been attending Small World since he was able to walk and now his running a muck with the junior kids, loving his time here. Attending here is like literally a second home to him. Kika is like his second grandmother, he loves her to bits.
Tammy runs the kindy so perfect, always spotless, food is healthy and beautiful.
The centre is like a home and staff are amazing.

Not only does Kika go above and beyond for the children today i received a nice suprise when i dropped my boys off. I am pregnant with my third baby and have been very sick this morning Kika walks out with a bowl of yummy veggie goodness for me to take for lunch to make sure im getting good food for myself and bubs the kindness and care from this centre is like everyone is her own children very much appreciated for what you do for myself and my boys. Absolutely love the centre and the staff , my daughter has been going there since March and her learning has improved a mile stone , the kids are amazing and staff are wonderful, everyday she comes home and has a new story to tell weather it’s about what she’s learnt or simply kids being kids, highly recommend if looking for somewhere you know your children are going to learn aswell as making friends and having fun on the way

We love it at Small World. Both my boys went there and 1 still there and the baby will go there too when he’s older. The Kindergarten Program is fantastic and all the Staff are friendly and so caring. Kika is like another Mother to us all. And her fresh cooked meals always smell amazing! And keep their tummy’s happy!

Small World really is a home away from home. My kids started as babies. They have always felt comfortable in Small World environment. Children have good days & bad days as do we all & the educators just take it on board to care for your little ones with whatever they need at that time. They learn so much everyday & are fed Kika’s famous cooking to keep them full.
