Brisbane Osteopathic Centre
At Brisbane Osteopathic Centre, we work with you to help decrease pain and improve mobility. Our focus is to get you enjoying your life more. Whether it be being able to work without pain, pick up your kids or grandkids, or playing the sport you love or the hobby you enjoy. All 4 of our practitioners are going to work with you gently.

There is no harsh manipulation or deep massage. We believe it's better to work with you in a pain-free way so we don't aggravate your symptoms. Instead we encourage your body's own healing abilities by gently balancing and realigning you. We take an holistic approach, because when one part of your body isn't moving easily, other parts will be affected and need to compensate.
Services
At Brisbane Osteopathic Centre we pride ourselves in providing the best quality osteopathic care for every patient who walks in our door. Osteopathy is a drug-free, hands on therapy that aims to improve your health and wellness. Osteopaths work to decrease any of your strains and muscle tension so you can enjoy your life more.
An osteopath is trained to understand how the parts of your body should work together and the impact if they do not. Osteopaths focus on your neuro-musculoskeletal system - the bones, muscles, nerves and other tissues that support your body and control its movements. Patients book in with an osteopath when they are experiencing long term (chronic) and short term (acute) issues with different parts of their body.
Our team work with a treatment style called cranial osteopathy. It is excellent for people who dislike forceful manipulation, strong stretching and heavy massage. Instead we work more gently with your body to help you find a better balance and a more sustainable way of moving which will still decrease your pain.
An osteopath will focus on your whole body, including the soft tissues (such as muscles, ligaments and tendons), the spine and nervous system. An osteopath takes a holistic approach to treatment, so your practitioner may look at other parts of your body, as well as the area that is causing pain.

Osteopaths believe that when the body's musculoskeletal system is not properly balanced and in alignment, it inhibits the circulatory, lymphatic or nervous system function which can reduce the body's ability to heal itself.Just like other manual therapies such as chiropractic and physiotherapy, osteopaths deal with musculoskeletal strains in the body.
Back pain is the leading cause of disability around the world, and more than 3.7 million Australians experience back pain on any given day. The type of pain can range in severity from slight discomfort to debilitating, severe pain. Research shows that Osteopaths are highly qualified to diagnose, treat and manage back pain.

I've found this clinic helpful for my newborns as they are gentle and you actually notice a difference, particularly with babies not liking carseat. Have seen 3 of their practitioners over time and would recommend Rebecca the most for the cranial work she does and extra help with breastfeeding if needed.
When all other osteos seem booked out for months, I've never had trouble getting in within a few days.
Would recommend 👍

I injured my back recently and was unsure of the right remedy. Booked in with Shayne and I am so glad I did.
I feel so much better now and can move around freely. I realise just how bad it was before the treatment!
Shayne was so knowledgeable and explained the science and how osteopathy works.
I am so grateful to have found such a good Osteopath and would highly recommend to anyone!

My son suffers from recurring ear infections and since the first time with Shayne we saw a huge improvement. He’s very knowledgeable and professional.

Best in world I have found living in 3 countries for my chronic back, neck and shoulder pain. I often (only once every few months) travelled 4 hours return from Toowoomba to see because no one closer could help anywhere near as much or as cost effective. Scott Baxter and his wife were brilliant. This is my only google review too and been living in US since 2010 and wish I could see them now.

Be prepared to think you wasted your money on that first visit!
BUT believe me you wont have wasted a cent!
I have recommended many others and I know of none whom have been disappointed.
Their techniques vary slightly between their practitioners but they are all so gentle you come away thinking "they haven't done anything" and sometimes even the pain is still there immediately after, but gradually over the next 4~12 hours you'll suddenly realise ... hey! the pain is less/gone!
Apart from the lovely friendly staff, the other great things are;
They don't keep you coming back time-after-time
