SWS are a husband & wife team but maybe that should be wife & husband team. Sandy Whittaker-Sparks and Rodney Sparks and the union of their skills dovetail into an imaginative and productive team. SWS Manufacturing Jewellers are fortunate to be able design and handcraft some truly beautiful pieces from a private studio in Adelaide's east.
They have been making fine jewellery there for the last 15 years. SWS is a modest studio when compared to others, but this provides the ability to deal with clients in an intimate situation that is relaxing for you. When you visit them you are exactly where your piece is being made, a true workshop.

Services
Always aware of the latest trends, be it a smart contemporary style or classical vintage and art deco styles of rings, pendants, earrings bangles and cuffs, SWS will work with you through the design process. They will work with you to create exquisite wedding bands and eternity rings to compliment your engagement ring.
Every piece is hand crafted at the SWS studio. It is made using traditional techniques only using gold alloys of the highest quality which are refined here in South Australia. The alloying metals used in gold are critically important. They control everything from the melting point through malleability, to how the metal finishes.
Fine jewellery that has sentimental value can be transformed from keepsake to something that is worn on an everyday basis. Similarly, a piece which has lost appeal over time or is simply outdated and consigned to the bottom of your jewellery box can be remodeled into something you will cherish and wear with pride.
SWS will always prefer diamonds of the better qualities, however they will search merchants stock to ensure you get the best stone available within your budget. Their diamonds are sourced from merchants who guarantee they have been purchased from legitimate sources not involved in funding conflict and in full compliance of United Nations resolutions.
SWS provides a valuation for insurance purposes with every piece they craft. They use a completely independent valuer for the obvious reason that he can make an impartial assessment of the item.
The Valuer, a member of the National Council of Jewellery Valuers, has a comprehensive gemmological laboratory, is a Fellow of The Gemmological Association of Great Britain, a Fellow of The Gemmolocial Association of Australia and holds an Advanced Diploma of Diamond Grading. His valuations are comprehensive in the item description and include a photograph of the piece which makes it much easier to reproduce in the unfortunate event of a loss.

They will make all your ring dreams come true. My partner and i are complete diamond virgins. We had purchased a ring online and took it to starco to get the centre stone replaced as the one we got unfortunately had an inclusion right on the surface and didn't sit completely right on my finger. They were all super supportive, we got a complete diamond education and a few options for what we could do with the ring. I'm very attached to the band because I've had it picked out for years and they kept it, resized the ring to my size and changed the stone all while keeping the integrity of the band

Initially I was confused when the owner tried to convince me that platinum is 24ct white gold. I cant understand the motivation, but it could only be one of 2 things. Either she doesn't know herself - which is unlikely for a jewellery shop owner. Or she simply took us for idiots. I'm beginning to think it was the latter. She was trying to sell us an 18ct white gold necklace with a 1/2 ct of low grade diamond off cuts for $8,000 and that's after 55% discount. Seriously if you cant trust the person your buying from to a) know their product and b) to have integrity you should definitely shop elsewhere
