Services
Kookaburra Kindergarten Chatswood was first established over 30 years ago and is a stand-alone, boutique service owned and operated by an Early Childhood Teacher and family. Our centre is set in a federation era residence that has been renovated to provide state of the art facilities while preserving the traditional features of the home to maintain a warm and caring environment.
From cooing and rolling to babbling and crawling, to taking their first steps and saying their first words, babies are experiencing the most rapid period of brain development that humans undergo in their entire life. It is an exciting time as we see these tiny people grow. In the Joey's room, your child will build a secure and trusting relationship with their educator.
In the first years of life, children learn through everything they see, touch, taste, smell and hear. They love to explore, experiment, test and try over and over again. Through play-based learning your child will be actively engaged in stimulating experiences that encourage them to discover themselves and the world around them.
Fees are billed fortnightly in advance and are payable for all booked days, including absences due to illness, vacations and public holidays. As a recognised childcare provider, we are registered for the Government Childcare Subsidy (CCS). Government assistance with the cost of child care is available to eligible resident families.

My son has attended Kookaburra Kindergarten since he was 18 months. He is so happy and settled because of the amazing staff who are so kind and caring. In addition, their education program is top notch, with noticeable results in development. If you are looking for a centre that is caring, but also helps creates independent and confident children, Kookaburra Kindergarten is the place for you.

We have been with kookaburra kindergarten for over 5 years now (both our kids) and we are very happy with them. The teachers are very friendly, caring, and easy to talk to. Some of them have been there for years and have taught both my kids. The whole center has been newly renovated and it is really nice. The rooms are bright and spacious, and there are lots of activities for the kids to do. The playground area is outdoors and large which is a massive plus PLUS being in Chatswood! They also have lots of outdoor play equipment to keep kids busy.

Kookaburra Kindergarten is set in a bright, spacious and recently renovated house with a warm, homely feel. The beautiful big garden has natural vegetation and brilliant play areas (sandpit, swings, slide, climbing apparatus, bike track, boat, etc), which my two year old absolutely loves. The children play outside every day unless there is a chance of rain. The indoor facilities are good and the educators offer a variety of activities throughout the day. There aren’t many excursions outside of the centre and although there are seasonal celebrations, I think more community engagement activities

We moved our daughter here after finding another place (franchise) disengaging, impersonal and stressful atmosphere. Within a week of starting, we knew all the staff, my daughter was looking forward to going to kindy and playing in the amazing outdoor area and she had a buddy. This place has been outstanding compared to what we left.

My 2 year old son has been attending Kookaburra for over a year and he absolutely loves his teachers and friends there - his confidence has really built since starting daycare. What is most important to us is that the staff must enjoy working at this Centre as his teachers have been there for so many years. They are so caring and involved my sons development as well as value feedback from the parents. We are pregnant with #2 and have already put her name down for 2020.
