Services
At Onepsych we use scientifically proven, evidence based techniques to assist clients in finding effective solutions to their emotional, physical, behavioral and cognitive problems. It is a time where some are discovering their sexuality, experimenting with drugs and alcohol, and dealing with depression, anxiety, bullying and self-esteem.
Here is a brief overview of some common mental health issues that Onepsych Psychology Services deal with. Substance abuse may be the main problem or it may be secondary to other issues for example relationship problems, depression, job stress or illness. Often clients need to work on controlling cues for drinking, managing the urge and relapse prevention.
Cognitive behaviour therapy is a relatively short term focussed approach to the treatment of many types of emotional, behavioural, and Psychiatric problems. CBT helps individuals identify unhelpful thoughts and learn or re-learn healthier skills and habits. Mindfulness is the focussing of attention and awareness.
To receive psychological services under Medicare, a person must be referred by their GP and be in possession of a Mental Health Care Plan. Most Private Health Fund insurers offer rebates on psychological services by approved psychologists. Referrals are not required unless you are covered by the Medicare Mental Health Care Plan or have been involved in an accident (MAIB) or other compensation scheme.

3 out of 5 sessions were double booked or there was confusion as to whether it was a phone or in office session. I had recieved text reminders to confirm time and dates.
Clearly needs a secretary. Unprofessional.

I have been going here for about 4 years and from day one was treated with great professionalism. It is great having someone that can help u get back on track with life. Although I am have a few medical issues still going on It's a relief to have someone to tell your frustration to. Sure appointments sometimes get dbl booked or your appointment have to be changed to another time but that is understandable , it is apart of life no use getting your knickers in a knot.I would recommend One Psych Psychologist to anyone who wants to get there life back on track ,but r finding life a bit hard. Not a very friendly attitude towards a reasonable question, seemed hostile and would expect better from a person practicing in this profession.
Could it be I wasn't a potential cash source/customer?
