Just a short note to introduce you to Salon Scalone and a little of our history. Not your typical salon, we are tucked away in a large loft style room above 231 Oxford Street with plenty of natural light and views onto the street from our picture window.
The salon was established in 1993 by two brothers, Neil & David Scalone, and we have since been colouring and cutting the hair of Eastern suburbs residents including work with both film & television personalities.As a salon we pride ourselves on our quality, our service and our expertise in all modes of colouring, cutting, hair extensions, Keratin smoothing and Japanese straightening.

Services
Our services cover a lot of areas. Used primarily for covering grey hair or lightening hair between 1 and 3 levels. Your hair will need to be re-coloured between 4 and 6 weeks as a regrowth will appear. The ends will also need to be refreshed. Used for livening hair colour while conditioning. Deposits colour which gradually fades between 4 and 6 weeks.
As a salon we use and highly recommend REDKEN SHADES EQ as our preferred semi permanent colour. It has fabulous lasting powers and will still be vibrant long after other semis would have washed away. Redken shades EQ is the colour that thinks it is a conditioner. 100% ammonia free! We also have available a full range of GOLDWELL colours for those people who prefer to have a choice.
Shisedo Japanese Thermal Ionic uses a precisely controlled ion technology to thermally restructure the hair from curly to permanently straight and to lock in optimum softness. The thermal ionic system actually flattens the hair cuticle layer to produce permanently straight hair with ultra gloss shine, silky fell and movement.
For many years now we have researched all available hair extension techniques looking for the technique that we believe to be the best available and to make it the overall cheapest hair extensions. The Gadiva, & Lusciouslox NANO RING systems combines a number of factors that we believe are important to both the client and the hairdresser.

I have been going to Salon Scalone for more that 30 years. They are masters in their class the best of the best. Couldn’t imagine going anywhere else. Consistently good and excellent customer rapport. They are more like family now.

I loved everything about this salon. Very unpretentious, warm and welcoming. You don't get the sense that they're trying to sell you their products but genuinely suggest treatments for your hair type. I went in, at the recommendation of a customer, for a simple trim and clean-up and Neil was incredibly knowledgeable, I trusted him with my hair completely. Everybody there seems like they have a lifetime of experience. Can't wait to go back :)

I always look forward to my appointments with Salon Scalone, the customer service and expert advice is impeccable. After moving to Sydney I was tentative to try a new hairdresser but they surpassed my expectations in both value and quality of service. I would recommend them to everyone, whether it be for cut, colour or otherwise the staff are fantastic at what they do as well as being genuinely lovely people.

Went to this salon as it came highly recommended. Had a colour and cut by Kate, but left very unhappy. I had a photograph of the colour I wanted, and specifically stated that I did not want it to be darker than the picture, and I did not want chunky blonde streaks. I have ended up with nearly black hair with chunky blonde pieces. Will be looking for a new stylist to fix this asap.
