In 1981, Rode Pool Services was started by two couples in a partnership. Two years later in March of 1983, Mike and June Gervais bought the business as a going concern off the two couples. Opening 6 days a week, Mike did the small amount of regular servicing and call outs that came in and their 3 sons Mark, Luke and Carl helped out in the shop and on school holidays.
To grow the business Mike would do "free" pool instructions for new clients and new pool owners, this took place early mornings before work, and increased the client base quite substantially. Mike's first casual employee was Mrs My Buick, who did the regular services three days a week and also helped out in the store when required.

Quoting repairs sometimes requires your equipment to be disassembled for an accurate assessment. If you decide not to proceed with repairs, your equipment will not be re-assembled.

Terrible store. They used to have good helpful people but no more. I have been a few times lately to get assistance and the people are lazy and can't be bothered. Unless you are after salt or chlorine, they are not interested and guess what you can get all of what they sell from Bunnings for a fraction of the price. So much for supporting a local small business.

They have general knowlage of pool maintanece which can be found on the internet. They want to solve every problem with one of thier product instead of good advice.I had like 5 question to be asked and the boss ditched me after the 2nd one becaus his friend walked in. I was going to spend a few hundreds bucks at the shop but becasue of bad costumer service I went elswere. Only recommend this shop to desparete ppl with lots of cash.
