Decent cleaner wouldn't hurt and maybe a cover on your doona. the spa hadn't had a good clean since it was installed, there was yellow flakes coming out of the jets when made a comment to owner he said he would clean it himself, after going back when he finished im starting to think that he was the cleaner as it was no different. would not recommend this place to anyone..

Our stay at The Lodge was amazing. The owners Jeff and Julie made us feel so welcome. Great facilities, clean and pretty rooms. An amazing balcony and courtyard, that all guest can enjoy and lounge in the sun. 15min walk from the Salamanca markets and 50m walk to the restuarant strip of tendy Elizabeth St. In the evening enjoy a snifter of port in The Lodges comfortable lounge. Best place to stay in Hobart! Thank you Jeff and Julie for your fantastic hospitality.

This is one of the best places to stay in Hobart. Jeff, the owner of the property will make sure that you are comfortable and happy. Tiniest need of yours is already thought out and is met. Close proximity to the city and nice restaurants is a bonus. Overall our stay here was completely enjoyable and memorable. We are always staying here when in Hobart. 💕

Beautiful historic building that's the perfect setting as a base of operations for a visit to Hobart. Starting with a very warm welcome and invitation to relax in the lounge with a complimentary port. Room was the perfect size, cosy and warm despite the cooler temperatures of a Hobart winter. There was a great spread for a continental breakfast and you really felt like a welcome guest in a house rather than just a customer. I highly recommend this place to those wanting a more congenial experience than just staying in a hotel.

Most impressed by this lovely place in central Hobart, Tasmania.
I was taken away by the hosts and their helpfulness and the accommodation is just beautiful in a old world setting. Antiques everywhere... or reproductions for the keen eye.
The bedrooms have all the mod cons but still with beautiful period decor.
Breakfast is very filling. There is fresh fruit salad, ham, cheese, warm boiled eggs. Cereals, croissants/jam, different breads for toast and tea / coffee.

My wife and I stayed here at the end of our bike trip around Tassie. The owner, Jeff, let us keep our bike boxes here when we left on our trip since we were staying here on the back end. Very accommodating. Nice and comortable with great rooms. Laundry in house. Good selection for a continental style breakfast. Comfortable tea room with port in the evenings. Good location for the restaurants on Elizabeth but also for a quick walk through downtown and down to the waterfront and Salamanca market area. Highly recommended.

We stayed here for a couple nights while exploring Hobart, Port Arthur and Mount Wellington. It was a very comfortable room and they have a beautiful tea (or is it a Port?) room. It was nice to hang out and meet other travelers from all over the world. The owners are down to earth and helpful, though the guy is a bit rough around the edge - when I asked him what restaurant he recommends, he was almost defensive and said that he prefer pubs- it made for an awkward moment!
