He saw endless amounts of timber and other materials being thrown out on a daily basis. As environmental awareness began to increase in the 1990's, he thought that there is surely a way to recycle the timber he saw going into landfill.
In his backyard shed in Bentleigh East, Melbourne, Gerry started a part-time project of making picture frames from all the timber from his building sites and started selling the frames at local markets around Melbourne.They were an instant hit and he ventured out in other markets throughout the Mornington Peninsula and the Yarra Valley.

Our Event and Gallery space is set in an industrial warehouse. It is suitable for a variety of events such as Art Exhibitions, Photography, Birthdays, Workshops, Business events etc (Yoga classes are also held in the space some week nights by @jess_barefootyoga). ROOF: Open web, steel trusses, hardwood purlins, and skylights provides ample natural light.
Great gift idea. Easy to buy and emailed immediately to us. Bought recently as a wedding present and was very well received. I think the gift card could be improved by having a small blurb about what Mulbury does included on it, but I just printed out a part of the website to do that alongside the gift card.

I recently took a valuable artwork into Mulbury to have it framed. Gerry was absolutely wonderful, he took me through the different custom framing options and gave his professional insight into framing my specific artwork to bring out it’s best. It was completed on time and I was thrilled with the end result - specific pieces of recycled wood was selected to echo the colour and lines in the artwork. It’s magnificent. Many thanks Gerry, your work will be admired in this household for many years to come.

Thank you so much for your work & care taken with the photo I took.
