Bathrooms get a lot of use and sometimes harsh chemicals thrown at them over the years. Your tiles and grout needs maintenance just like a car needs servicing to keep it doing its job of stopping water, because if you don't maintain the tiles and grout, eventually the grout and tiles will stop working and leak water into the walls and to the adjoining rooms which could end up to be a costly exercise.
This can be caused by a number of issues from missing grout to the walls and shower floor. If the tiles are coming of the wall or are very drummy then we would recommend removing the drummy wall and floor tiles and then applying a waterproof membrane to the walls and floor and then retiling. In most case the repairs can be done within a day and ready to use after 24 hrs of completing the repairs.
