When we created Mountain Gate Medical Centre in 2016, we knew we wanted to create a premium health service for this beautiful area at the foot of the Dandenong Ranges. It is practice policy that all accounts are settled in full on the day of your consultation; EFTPOS, Mastercard, Visa and cash accepted. The practice offers Medicare Easyclaim: for eligible services. Your Medicare Rebate is paid back to your DEBIT CARD immediately after you have paid your account at the practice.

Horrible place! Previously had a poor experience with a GP who just wanted me in and out and didn’t take the time to diagnose. Thought I would give it a second go and called recently to book an appointment post isolation to check on my chest pain and fatigue. Receptionist was rude, unhelpful and judgmental in tone. Basically saying they’re a private practice and can choose who they see. Ended up hanging up due to feeling so uncomfortable with the conversation and lack of support.

The worst experience that I have experienced in Melbourne. I booked the Pfizer for me and my wife last night. And I received a call from Rachel regarding the forms which I forget to fill. Then I asked Rachel about the situation of my wife. She pushed us to cancel the appointment and go somewhere else to get vaccine. I insisted to get vaccine and I told her that my wife will get the medicare card on time. She began to very rude and threaten me that she will cancel the appointment. Please well trained your staff do not threaten your customers next time. Thanks

Had my child immunised at this centre since we moved from the west of Melbourne. Gp and nurses kind and receptionists are okay. Switching to another clinic because Mountain Gate had failed to update Government of my child’s immunisation record since December 2020 and therefore our Centrelink payment will be affected. Receptionist has not been responsive to my emails for couple of weeks now. Originally have been advised by the receptionist the delay is due to some hacking issues to medical hospitals happened last month or so but not sure how that relates to the immunisation given more than 4 months

I have been to this particular doctors clinic a few times now, each time it hasn't been "horrible", until my last two visits which were in regards to my mental health.
It began with me initiating further help from my doctor, to which he seemed to not have a single care in the world. After suffering from poor mental health for many years now, my partner came along to ensure that we were reaching out for the appropriate help and he was appalled at the rudeness and lack of care the doctor had.
I ended up returning to go over the results which were to be passed on by another health professional,

Most recent experience was not a pleasant one. Receptionist told us that the medicare card was invalid, and we would have to pay the full amount of the bill. While she checked the details again, the consultation became a long one and the cost was $118. Card still 'invalid', although we'd used it only two days earlier. Paid bill, then I had to go to the medicare office where I was told that there was nothing wrong with the card and it was still valid for 4 years.

I have been attending this clinic since May 2018 and have been cared for in all areas of my health and well being by the wonderful Dr Des, nurse Amelia who is very warm and attentive and Helen on front of house who goes above and beyond. The entire team are amazing at this medical centre and offer an extensive range of services.
If you are looking for a holistic approach to your families health needs this is a progressive medical team with an incredibly welcoming environment and l highly recommend them.
