Jam Packed
Located in the historic IXL Jam factory, on Hobart's beautiful waterfront, Jam Packed serves up great coffee and great food from 7am - 3pm daily. The heritage building is a nod to a bygone era, with original convict-built sandstone walls and parts of the old Jam factory still visible. Jam Packed has recently been acquired by new management, who are excited to re-open the doors to this iconic cafe and welcome back locals.

Jam Packed commenced operations in 2004 and continues to serve up great coffee, great food and is situated in a great location in Hobart, with waterfront views. With casual all day dining served 7am to 3pm and a beautiful light filled atrium area, Jam Packed is a destination all year round. The food we serve at Jam Packed is freshly prepared by our in-house chefs and there is something to suit all palates and appetites.

Fantastic little Cafe with seating out the back which opens up, greeted with a smile and friendly service, good gluten free options and all day menu, very tasty coffee and hot chocolate

I've been coming to this place every time I've visited Hobart since 2007. It's still as lovely as it has always been. The courtyard setting is truly special.

Our family ordered three kid’s meals for three children, who later decided to swap food with the adults. However, the staff said because adults ate the meal instead, they must charge the adult price for the kids. The owner and two female staff members were extremely hostile and screamed at me after I brought up this issue with them. Please be wary of the rude staff and lack of transparency when visiting this restaurant.

Located in the old IXL Jam Factory this cafe is located only a short walk from the Grand Chancellor and immediately adjacent to Henry Jones. The coffee is good and the out door seating adds to dining experience. Most tables are close to overhead heaters. There is a good breakfast menu.

Inside the Henry Jones Hotel, there is a little coffee shop that I walked by several mornings. I was waiting on others to get ready so I decided to walk across the street and explore. After passing by the art gallery and the souvenir store, I decided to get an early pick me up. Went to the counter and ordered and espresso.

Service was great: polite and quick... just the way I liked it. I noticed that they sold the Tasmanian plush toys raising funds for the fire relief efforts (a noble cause). They have pastries and all sorts of coffee drinks available. For those who want a full on breakfast,

Very disappointed with breakfast today. We have loved breakfast here in the past but today, after a long wait, our breakfast was served up cold. Eggs were rubbery, mushrooms leathery and rye bread was impossible to cut with the butter knife provided. Not the first reviewer to mention the cold meals/ coffee. Lift your game Jam Packed.

Jame Packed Cafe is inside the old IXL Jam Factory. It is a warm inviting space with lots of light and friendly staff to take your orders and bring you food. I ate my breakfasts there in the mornings and found the fresh croissant and waffles to be wonderful. You will also see plenty of local art in this space.

Decent lunch cafe spot with delicious salads and mains. Chilli chicken salad was delicious and the lamb cous cous looked good too. Craft beers brewed locally in bottles. Good spot but will try something else along the water next time.

Located in the Henry Jones Art Hotel, Jam Packed has a gorgeous little gourmet market and takeaway counter, while the tables for cafe service are located in the atmospheric courtyard of the hotel. This may well be the most beautiful cafe in Hobart. Plus, the food is excellent.

I'm completely addicted to the bircher muesli with berry flummery. This morning it was scattered with freeze dried raspberries. It's gluten free and completely delicious! I'm staying in Hobart from Brisbane and have found this cafe to have very friendly service and consistently fresh food

A bit pricey compared to other places (in my opinion) but it's always a lovely place to have brunch with the girls. Great ambience.

Great view of the wharf at the front and an epic atrium at the back where most of the seating is. The service I've received on a my couple of visits has been excellent. The coffee is pretty good too. The Breakfast Tostada however, lacked flavour. Scrambled egg, tomato, avocado, chorizo and tortilla is right up my alley but it just didn't work together - even with a giant chorizo sausage as the main flavour.
