Services
At Jimboomba Community Kindergarten we believe that childhood is a unique time of life. It is a time to be valued and enjoyed. It is a time when children develop the skills needed to build successful relationships with others, and understand the world in which we live. It is a time for learning how to be part of a group, yet growing as an individual.
The Jimboomba Community Kindergarten began operation in 1981 in the Jimboomba Community Centre rented from the Beaudesert Shire Council. A dedicated group of parents set out to establish a new permanent building on the adjacent block of land, leased to the Association by the Council. A Federal Grant of $66,360 was awarded to the Association, along with smaller grants from Beaudesert Shire council, and the Qld Education Department.
We received a Community Grant in 2013 from Queensland Country Credit Union to purchase new tables and chairs for the Kindergarten room. We received an Envirogrant from the Logan City Council in 2013, to connect the toilets to one of our water tanks and install water saving taps in the children's bathroom.
Jimboomba Community Kindergarten hours are 8.45am to 2.45pm Monday to Friday, with maximum 22 children in each group. The Kindergarten operates over four terms per year which align with the Queensland State School calendar. Each family is required to be a financial member of the Jimboomba Community Kindergarten Association Inc, to which a membership fee of $5.00 is attached (included in the Enrolment Fee).

We sent our older daughter here a few years back and she had the best experience. We currently have our second daughter enrolled and already We can see an improvement. There is so much for the kids to do and learn, and in such a big open play area. The teachers are wonderful. We will definitely be sending our younger one here too.
