Magic Mountain Saloon
Our menu blends both the Thai and Australian way of life that leads to a sense of informality in our way of eating. Situated a stone's throw away from Melbourne's CBD theatre district and Parliament you will find Magic Mountain Saloon, a multi-level Thai Restaurant and Bar and function space. Our food is an excellent pairing with the 18 taps of local and international lagers, sours, ambers and pales, and our carefully selected wine list.
Services
Magic Mountain is a lunch to late-night bar and eatery on Little Collins Street. A fun, neon lit bar and dining experience. Offering a bold, but traditional Thai menu of incredible flavours, salty, spicy and sweet. A very cool, knowledgeable crew who know the venue & menu back to front, authentic but creative Thai food by the very talented Thai kitchen team and a buzzy, fun atmosphere.
Our beautiful top floor is bathed with natural skylight, large glass windows exposed bricks, high ceilings and a well stocked marble bar conveniently situated in the centre of the room, perfect for both private parties and corporate functions. The timeless space is peppered with five large booths and two adjacent marble tables for long brunch catch ups, buffet style finger food and banquet seatings for up to 30 guests.

Great customer service, great food. Don't be fooled by the "small plates" the portions are bigger than implied. Great for sharing.
Can highly recommend the beef ribs, very tender and flavourful.
Thai chicken ribs are also excellent!

We had the most incredible night at Magic Mountain on Saturday night. We are already planning to go back ASAP. The food was amazing, delicious and plentiful. The service was brilliant. A huge shout out to Liz who looked after us with incredible good advice, attention and good humour. We went as a group celebrating a much delayed big birthday and the night was made very special by Magic Mountain. The vibe is really fun and the layout inside is very appealing. I was completely full but couldn't stop myself eating more because everything was so tasty. The cocktails and drinks are divine.

Girls and I came for our little Christmas party and it was amazing. Food was great and the service was exceptional, if you have Clinton on your visit you are sure to share laughs, smiles and be taken care of! Thank you, Clinton! Will definitely be coming back.

Popped in for 2 pots of beer on Saturday night and find out we've been overcharged $14. Tried to call to sort it out but phone rings out. Most expensive pot of beer we've ever had. Should've been $14
Tip. Never let your bartender walk off with your card and tap it.

Great food, great service, great experience all round.
Might have just been the dishes that I ordered but I found all the dishes were quite heavy and that's what I prefer.
We ordered the DIY Baos, Drunken Noodles, Curried Soft Shell Crab, Sticky Beef Ribs and Smashed Potatoes.
All the dishes are quite heavy and pack a lot of flavour.
Different combinations of sweet, sour, salty and spicy that create amazingly tasty dishes.
Enjoyed the DIY Baos even though the pork was slightly dry but the sauces and salad included make up for it.
Really enjoyed the soft shell crab (I recommend getting the

Thai fusion multi level restaurant / bar filled with neon light and loud music/chattering.
We are pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food and great service. Thx Phil and Collin for looking after us well
Our highlights are:
💗 Crunchy fried chicken ribs
💗 Mozzarella curried rice balls (like arancini but with more explosion of flavours)
We’ve also ordered the below which aren’t too bad:
❤️‍ Peking duck flat rice noods - Good flavours and chilli kick but duck was too chewy
❤️‍ Lotus root tapioca dumpling - Enjoyed the flavour but the dumpling skin can be thinner

Dined for dinner. We shared the crispy pork belly bao, fried chicken ribs, lamb shoulder red curry, rice, roti & chocolate & salted caramel tart. Food was all delicious. I also loved the lychee martini cocktails (I had 3 of them). Service friendly.

Love this place! Actually forgot I’d been here once before (pre COVID). We had
- Chicken Curry Roti (11/10. Was tempted to order twice)
- Soft Shell Crab curry - heard good things about this & it did not disappoint. Wish the spices were slightly punchier (8/10)
- Chive dumpling - LOVED this. The texture was beautiful (8/10)
- Fried Chicken Ribs. Can’t go past a crunchy number & the sauce was divine! Hot tip: pour the sauce all over the chicken. Was so good (9/10)
- Peking Duck noodles. Wasnt the biggest fan of this one, but still tasty! (7/10)
- Chocolate pie & Salted Carmel. They changed

What a viiiiibe! Perfect representation of Melbourne, easily one of the coolest restaurants we have. Filled with moody red neon lighting, small intimate dining areas as well as booths and communal tables. Multiple levels, a DJ and a bar. Their inventive Thai menu is large and perfect for sharing, every single dish we ordered was delicious and massive. Their version of a “dumpling” is interesting, still tasted like a dumpling

Thank you SO much, to the Magic Mountain Saloon team. Maddy was flawless in their service, and of course the rest of the team - Curtis, Clinton and Pam - were amazing. We had the bottomless brunch, and the food was exceptional (definitely enough to fill the belly). The drinks were great, especially the Bloody Mary. Toilets were clean and easy access from the service area. There was a small but thoughtful balcony. Suits not advised.
