Services
Our Principal, Rae Green, was born at Point Lookout on North Stradbroke Island and while growing up in Brisbane continued to visit the island virtually every weekend. Rae met her husband at Point Lookout and they moved permanently back to the island in 1989. Rae's children and grandchildren who live on the island are in fact 5th and 6th generation islanders.
The Islander Resort has a mixture of Studio apartments, One bedroom and Two bedroom self contained apartments located across the road from beautiful Home Beach. The manicured complex includes a floodlit tennis court, in-ground pool and communal BBQ area. All of our managed Islander apartments are air-conditioned and include full linen with beds made on arrival.
North Stradbroke Island is located off the coast of Brisbane and easily accessible by car or on foot from the mainland. If bringing a vehicle, it is essential to pre-book on the vehicle ferry. You will need to book with Stradbroke Ferries which services the island with vehicular transportation. Most Water Taxis are met by the Stradbroke Island Bus company which will transport you across the island.
Ensure that all rubbish is removed from the property and placed in the appropriate bins. Bins are collected by Redland City Council on Mondays and bins need to be placed kerbside on Sunday afternoon as collection can commence quite early. Beach Towels - a limited number of beach towels are available for hire at $5 per beach towel. Travel Cots - We have a limited number of travel cots for hire at $30 for the duration of your booking.
Wifi - Although all of our owners would like the ability to offer internet to all guests this is unfortunatly not possible due to the Telstra Island infrastructure - We do have mobile internet wifi dongles available for hire on a first come first served basis.
