Services
Valetta was built around 1911 by Mr J.H. Peters, to a design by prominent local architect Harry Marks. The house was purchased in 1913 by Mr Charles Skinner of Tweed Heads, for it was fashionable at the time to have a summer residence to escape the heat and humidity of the coast. Mr Skinner and his brother were pioneers of the Tweed district, and established a soft drink and cordials factory in Murwillumbah.
Please Note - High Tea bookings can only be made over the phone - Online High Tea bookings will not be accepted. Please provide us with at least 24 hours notice of any change in numbers or cancellations. Reservations will be allocated a 2 hour booking time - Unfortunately, if you are late to your booking your dining time may be reduced.
Bookings are essential with atleast 48 hours notice and a 50% deposit required for our High Tea. We pride ourself in making all of our high tea treats fresh in house for each booking & we do not have these items available unless a booking has been made. High Tea's are held Monday to Saturday with the last seating at 12pm.

A whole package: great food, atmosphere and service.
Very much enjoyed spending time here this morning for a good coffee and a slice of cake on a cosey corner and then a Yumm lunch.
If you'd like a particular seating you probably need the call ahead.

It was the first time we had a nice meal in Toowoomba. We thought we'd have a coffee only, but their menu looked so good and decided to have lunch there. Delicious food and generous serve, great service, too.

Went there for breakfast, food was really good. Service was exceptional. Our waitress (Stacia?) was lovely and went out of her way to organise some ice for my foot that I injured earlier that day. She kept checking in and was super friendly!! Thanks for the great service.

Cafe Valletta is such a beautiful place for a rest and meal. Sitting inside allows you to appreciate the pretty stained glass windows. If you sit outside won the terrace, you can then appreciate the beautiful flowers in the garden and enjoy the fountain. I ordered the bacon and egg with mashed avo on brioche bun. They even toasted the bun so that it’s crispy. Very delicious.

Beautiful place. The young wait staff were fantastic. Run off there feet but communicating well and calmly. I was there a couple of times on the 18 and 19/9 during the festival of Flowers. The food was great , so I had breakfast there twice.

After an ordinary breakfast the previous day at a nearby cafe, Cafe Valetta righted the ship for me. Great friendly service, my rhubarb porridge was spot on, and coffee was great.

An amazing place. The design, the deco, indoor and outdoor everything looks so amazing and the outdoor looks like from the baroque era. We had here a coffee and it was very delicious and I'm sure that the food is super delicious too. I highly recommend booking a table in advance, even for breakfast because it's a really busy place. And from here you can go immediately to the park, it's nearby and the cafe has a parking area too. Amazing😍.

The best coffee I have had in months! I was visiting Toowoomba this weekend and googled “best breakfast in Toowoomba” and we were not disappointed! Everything was wonderful! Will definitely recommend to friends!

3rd visit here and just never fails to dissapoint. This is my favourite cafe of all time. The food is delicious, filling and reasonably priced. The staff that served us today had exceptional service skills. By far the best chicken burger I have ever had.

Update: went for lunch here on the 2nd of December
You can not Fault the staff very friendly. Wonderful people.
The lemon meringue was way too sour. And not in the enjoyable way. Way to much lemon peel.
The pork salad was delicious everything tasted fresh and the pork was cooked to perfection. Just a touch bit more dressing and it would have been perfect
The New York sandwich that I had was amazing!!
And my strawberry milkshake just topped it off
Not to mention some of the greatest chips I’ve ever eaten in my life. Seasoned to perfection and cooked to the greatest crisp so much so it was

Wonderful food and staff. The beef burger is a must order. Place offers a larger variety of cakes than other places. Will be back to try other things on the menu.

What a gem of a find. Service was outstanding and the food exquisite

The size of the Barramundi fillet was superb - so many wonderful flavours. Desert was um um um um UM

And they have High Tea.... wish I was able to stay in Toowoomba longer to give it a try.

I highly recommend this place

Tasty but average meals. Beautiful setting but turned off by the customer service, I understand it was busy but please at least pretend you want to be there..

Chilli and GARLIC Prawns, with Mussels, fennel and shallots pasta.
So much garlic it made me feel sick, no taste except garlic. No chilli flavour, no fennel flavour, just garlic.
4 smallish prawns and 3 mussels for $24.90, over-priced and not worth it.
I ate the GARLIC seafood, a disgusting meal really.
Chef should be embarrassed to serve a meal that has obviously been prepared with too much garlic.
Partners Aracini was "okay", nothing special.
Over priced meals, wont be back snd wouldn't recommend.

Spent the weekend in Toowoomba, and tried to have dinner here on the Friday night (7 August), but the restaurant was fully booked - much to our dismay.

But not to be deterred, we tried again on Saturday night, and were happy to be able to get a table for dinner!

Our waitress Sam was fantastic! Greeted us as soon as we walked in the door, and because we were so early (we got there just as they opened at 6pm), we managed to get a table straight away. We were promptly given food and drink menus, and Sam was ever so patient with our many questions about the menu and requests for slight changes to

I've come here many many times mostly for lunch on weekends, but sometimes for breakfast. I have never been disappointed and is absolutely great sitting outside during summer followed by a walk through Queens Park. Only problem is that its popular, so it can be a scramble to get an outside table.

A REAL pot of tea & Irish Brekkie no less! Ahhh: lovely start to a superb meal of the Rosti - beer root & hash browns done to perfection. As was the perfectly poached egg, grilled asparagus and delicious semi dried cherry tomatoes. The icing on this experience is the friendly, helpful and efficient waitstaff! If I were a local I'd certainly be a regular. As it is I think it's worth the drive from western Brisbane!

This is one of my favourite cafes in Toowoomba!

The outdoor patio with water fountain is fabulous for reading my book and sipping a cappuccino. They also have delicious gluten-free almond cookies, which I love.

They now have table service, which is a step up from the last time I was here, years ago. The lunches are nice and lite!

I'll be honest - I felt let down by this place. Looking at the location, you'd think they'd be offering top notch food - being right opposite the massive park in Toowoomba, on the way in/out of town, beautiful setting - it's the perfect place for a good feed.

Went for breakfast with the family, and was pretty disappointed. Almost everyone on the table had poached eggs, and all of them came out hard. One of the guests on my table spoke up and asked the waiter to take them back because they've been boiled - cooked too long. The waitress came back and said that they&apos
