When Nadine contacted me to enquire about having her bump captured, she mentioned two things that stuck with me. Firstly, she was hesitant to have any maternity photos taken at all and was convinced by her friend (another beautiful mama I have photographed). Secondly, that if we could make her session happen at the beach.

I'm so grateful for the wonderful families I have photographed over the past 10 or so years, and in recent years the lovely people who continue to recommend me to their family & mates. I was super keen to photograph a maternity session as the beach, I love being near the water and had the perfect spot in mind.

I believe family photos don't need to be stiff or boring. Instead, they should reflect you & your family and be proudly hung on the walls for years to come. It's my job to capture you & the essence of what makes your family unique. Whether you like to have snuggles in bed, kick the footy around the back yard or whip up a storm in the kitchen I want to those memories to be recorded.
When you've got the entire extended family together (I know, rare!) it's super important to make the most of it. I'm finding more & more families are using this time to have their family portrait session, which I think is just wonderful! Deanna contacted me to arrange their extended family session as a special present for her mother in law.
Expecting your first child's arrival is an exciting time, such a mix of emotions & a little bit of the unknown. It was such a joy to document this special time for Maria & Matt, just weeks before 'Baby M' would make his earthside debut. I love a good baby bump session, and while pregnancy may not always be the most glamorous (speaking from my own experience) it can be a wonderful stage to capture and share with your little ones as they grow up.
After Freddie met Penelope at the hospital, and the gorgeous Bowen family had settled in at home with the newest addition we planned a lovely, relaxed lifestyle session at home. I am such a fan of family portraits at home, especially with younger kids. They're in their own environment and free to be themselves, It's also super handy having snacks or emergency changes of clothes on hand too.
Capturing families at all stages is something I am super passionate about, so to all the amazing & wonderful families who have trusted me with this special job & invited me into their home is always such a buzz.

I have known Elaine since we were kids (let's not count the years haha) and photographed her & James' wedding back in 2012, since then they have moved to Melbourne & now back to Brisbane and have expanded their crew with the arrival of Patrick & Thomas.
