I moved to Caxton St, after my children started school and the juggernaut of Deliberately Delicious was clearly too big for me to stay home. So here we still are, ten years later. Still a family own business and still loving each and every day. I adore designing, baking and creating cakes to help families celebrate their special occasions.

No matter what the occasion we can create an amazing cake for your event, which not only looks incrediblebut tastes amazing as well! All our celebration cakes are made to order so organise a consultation with us today! Prices start from $250 for a one-tier custom-designed cake and then go up from there depending on design detail and size of cake.
Every cake is baked on site from scratch using free range eggs, real butter, pure cream together with other finest quality ingredients and without any preservatives. I believe the that the inside of your wedding cake is just ( if not more ) important then the outside. I also know that traditionally a wedding cake was made from grandmas best fruit cake recipe - i still use my nan's recipe and I love a good fruit cake.

Terrible customer service. At no point should a bride have difficulty working with vendors for a situation that is out of their control.
The easiest solution would be to refund the deposit for goods that you’re not going to be providing.
You may have had hardships with your 9 day lockdown but this bride has had to cancel her wedding as well are endure over 200 days locked down.

Lack of empathy and customer focus. Refused to provide deposit refund or offer holding the order for when the customers will need it for a new date; this is due to interstate customers being unable to continue with wedding/cake order with the reasoning "you decide to plan a wedding interstate, knowing the world situation", although the wedding was planned when none of the border closures/lockdowns were in place and prior to the Delta outbreak. These customers have been forced into lockdown and unable to operate their business for over 200 days, meanwhile Brisbane has been in a couple of weeks lockdown

My Brother and Sister and Law have just cancelled their interstate wedding 3 months out, due to ongoing lockdowns in Melbourne and border restrictions, they will simply not be able to get there. To make such a decision has been devastating for them, especially when it has all been booked for over 12 months, along with limited work and loss of income, you would think a " thriving cake business" would have a little bit of empathy and compassion for a Melbourne customer who has been in lockdown going on 210 days in the last 18months and refund their deposit for their wedding cake that isn't going

Amanda has been the absolute highlight of my wedding planning experience. She has been so supportive, understanding and generous with her time during the recent lockdown and I cannot commend her enough for helping bring my special day together.
100% recommend her with all my heart and will definitely be visiting for future celebrations! The cake was the center piece and got a ridiculous amount of compliments from everybody attending.

My friend has had to cancel her wedding (and her cake) which was meant to be in Brisbane. We live in Melbourne and have just clocked over 210 days in lockdown and this lady is refusing to refund her for the cake. Considering the circumstances, she is being very unreasonable. It’s not like she has just cancelled her wedding for the sake of it. Have a heart!

Amanda cancelled on me and left me stranded! She initially accepted my order giving me a rough quote, I then confirmed in writing I ‘definitely would like to proceed’ and we were fine-tuning details, but as soon as I shared my desired design, suddenly it was all ‘would have loved to help but we are fully booked’. No indication of my booking not being secure, no chance to re-confirm, just a cold cancel. I would’ve rather been told that they cannot commit to my design because it’s risky than some ‘we’re now booked’ type of weird curveball. Provided alternate recommendations, which

Such a beautiful centrepiece for our wedding! With vibrant colours and beautiful florals, everyone wanted a piece of this cake. To top it off, our three flavours in multiple tiers meant that everyone wanted to try each others piece, but no one felt they missed out as each flavour was ridiculously delicious.

Amanda and her team took such delight in recreating a favourite muppet character, Beaker for my brother's 60th birthday. All organised easily between Auckland and Brisbane. Reaction on the day was brilliant… with huge laughs and much joy. Family from NZ couldn't be there, so having this amazing cake, a momento of our childhood was a pretty close 2nd. We were lucky enough to secure Amanda's expertise in the creation of our wedding cake. Everything about the experience was outstanding. Her communication was professional and concise, the cake looked exactly… how we wanted it to, and the flavour, texture etc was simply mind bogglingly good.
