Oregano may sound like a funny name for a bakery known for its delectable cinnamon scrolls, but the green herb is one of the three main ingredients in za'atar - the cornerstone behind the store's original concept. Sonia and Tony Jabbour opened Oregano Bakery in 2010 as a Lebanese pizza shop, creating traditional pizzas.
A few months down the track, Tony, a trained pizza chef, started experimenting with scrolls and sweets to generate extra income during a tough time. Sonia agreed, as long as he made use of ingredients they already had on hand. And so Tony continued experimenting, combining his tried and tested pizza dough with various flavours to create what are now nationally famous scrolls.

Honestly was expecting more. No sense of customer service at all. No system. Everyone in chaos. I had to wait 25 to 30 min for a cheese pizza and nutella pizza. Waited outside right in front of the door, kids getting tired and they didn't call my order out or name or number or anything. I walk in and ask, is that my food, i was told to wait, while there were 3 staff at back chillin.. no appologies when i did get the food, opened up and i can rate the nutella 6. The cheese, minus 5. Not having a go at this business, but seriously the owners need to review the process here. Other stores ok

A great local foodies heaven. This place sells food you don't "normally" find in a traditional bakery. The original cinnamon scrolls are good, but do yourself a favour and try some of the delicious varieties like cookies and cream and salted caramel. The savoury options are amazing too. The zatar is what I keep coming back for

Oregano bakery catered my child’s first birthday in June and the food was amazing. Sonia (the owner) was a pleasure to work with and made the ordering process so easy. Food was still hot and my guests loved it. Would highly recommend. All of my guests commented on the food and took some home. The savoury food is amazing but it’s very hard to go past a Nutella or cinnamon scroll. Will definitely get food from here again.

The scrolls were delicious but for that price I expect them to be. I ordered 6 small sweet scrolls and 6 small savory scrolls which cost $29. I was then told it was "CASH ONLY, and to go for a short walk around the corner to the ATM if I don't have cash". I explained I don't have any cards on me and just have Apple pay. All of a sudden their electronic cash machine appeared and it happened to work first time. Dodgy.

My girls drop by here each week for a delicious afternoon tea treat, sometimes sweet others savoury. The owner was so lovely to my daughters last week- shouting them three scrolls- made their day! My 9 year old was amazed by this generous gesture. Sometimes it’s the little things in life that make a huge impact! 😊 I recommend everything amazing coffee to wraps, pizza and the famous scrolls.

Ordered delivery and they got nothing right. Left things out. Gave wrong drink. Then when called and asked kept avoiding the questions and trying to blame the driver. Customer service has suffered immensely at this place and to top it off weird strings of cardboard on one of the pizzas. Not a good experience whatsoever

I love this cozy place for delicious coffee and perfect desserts. It’s quite crowded, but you can still get a spot or takeaway.
Oregano bakery can also serve yummy pizza.
There are always fresh newspapers and magazines to read through while having your morning coffee ;)
Awesome personnel and good menu. Love this local bakery!!!

Really average Pizzas. The pizza bases weren’t great and the toppings were of substandard quality. The mini cinnamon scrolls which were already boxed may have been a day or two old. Pretty disappointing considering this bakery has such a good name. Will stick with my local manoush bakery from now on.

Absolutely terrible service.
Your staff are more concerned about having fun and chatting to themselves than serving the line of customers you need to pay their wages.
Also. If your EFTPOS machine is unavailable perhaps your staff should lead with that an apology rather let customers order then tell them - it wastes everyone’s time!
In the time I waited for staff to be served 3 customers walked away after having their orders boxed because of the lack of card facilities and communication around it.
Great product, it’s just not matched by service.
