The Arab Steed Hotel is one of Adelaide's most historic hotels, made thoroughly modern by owners Shayne and Jill White who for 31 years have made guests welcome at this iconic hotel. The food is terrific, and the service is friendly and attentive - values which have served the hotel well for more than a Century.

Regardless, if you're an 'Arab' local - or just calling in to take in its ambience - there's always a friendly 'Hello!' and a chance to chat, if that's what you want. Have a tipple at the 'Long Bar', settle down for a delicious lunch between 12 to 3 (all-day dining on Friday, Saturday and Sunday!), or settle in for a delicious evening meal.

I came to this pub and thought one thing: rich white old people - how awful. However, the staff are actually really really nice and they put on live music, have great outdoor areas and overall was a really nice vibe. Will be my local and hopefully one day i too can also be an old man that is there so often i am like a piece of antique furniture.

Limited outdoor area as its shared with the footpath. Main male restroom is extremely small and ridiculously designed. Friendly staff, reasonable selection of tap beers.

Excellent food, attentive staff and an equally excellent range of beers. The alfresco seating with umbrellas and heating is a great place to sit and watch the world go by.

Nice place. I quite like it here.
But, the council thinks it's a good idea to put parking tickets on cars in the evenings. Watch out for the permit zones. Or be prepared for a $71 fine. 🙁

Can't praise the staff here enough! The handfull of times I've been here each and every person that I've dealt with has been very friendly, helpful and not at all pretentious. Special mention to Emily (?) Who has gone above and beyond any expectations more than once. Food is delicious. Decor etc is modest but clean and comfortable. Price is standard. Love coming here

Whilst pub crawling on a Sunday, the Steed was one of the busier pubs with a great, buzzing atmosphere. We enjoyed a couple of beers and a half dozen Kilpatrick oysters which were delicious. Friendly service and great afternoon

Very nice pub to enjoy a delicious Guinness. They have some vegan and vegetarian options. We tried the vegan pumpkin and spinach risotto and it was delicious. Friendly staff and good service. Update:we came back after 6 months and there are new options in their menu, we tried the vegan burger, highly recommended!
