Services
Goonoo Goonoo Road Vet hospital is a family owned veterinary hospital run by Vet and Andria Chittick. Brett obtained a bachelor of veterinary science degree from the University of Queensland in 1992. He worked extensively in mixed practice for several years in Victoria and Tasmania, but these days concentrates on working with all small animals, particularly dogs and cats.
Because pets age so rapidly, major health changes can occur in a short amount of time. The risk of cancer, diabetes, obesity, arthritis, heart disease and other serious conditions all increase with age. Today's pets are living longer than ever, chances are that many may experience a potentially serious illness during their lifetime.
Vaccination has revolutionised control of infectious disease in our pets. It is essential that all pets are adequately vaccinated to help protect the pet population as a whole. Responsible pet care requires kittens to be given their initial course of vaccinations, but this cannot protect them for the rest of their lives.
There are two broad categories of worms that may affect our pet dogs and cats, intestinal worms and heartworms. Worming is one of the first health care issues pet owners need to address as pups and kittens are the most susceptible. As their name suggests, intestinal worms are parasites that live inside your pet's intestines.
There are two broad categories of worms that may affect our pet dogs and cats, heartworm and intestinal worms. Heartworm, or Dirofilaria immitis, is a parasite that is spread by mosquitoes, so you pet does not even need to be in contact with other pets to become infected! Heartworm has a complicated life cycle.

Brett is a very knowledgeable vet. Each time our animals have had issues, he has quickly identified the problem and fully explained the treatment options which are best for the animal, not most expensive for the owner. I recommend Goonoo Goonoo Road Vet Hospital to all pet owners.

Our 2 year old dog was mauled by another on our camping holiday east of Nundle in the early evening.
We were very upset and called their 'after hours' number. We found this vet to be very responsive and supportive.
Our dog survived thanks to their high level of care and we are very grateful they helped us during a desperate situation.
Thank you.
