Tamworth Veterinary Hospital was founded in 1964 by Dr. Doug Bryden, operating out of the current premises at the corner of Brisbane and Carthage Streets Tamworth.
Jane works as receptionist part-time. Owner of many pets (and a few strays!). Loves all creatures great and small and particularly likes the horse races - not for the money but for the elegance, athleticism and beauty of watching thoroughbreds do their thing. Dana has recently taken over the role of Head Veterinary Nurse here at TVH.
Snake bites are a relatively common occurrence in regional areas of Australia. Within the Tamworth region, Brown/King brown envonomations are by far the most common. Black snake bites also occur, whilst tiger and whip snake bites are relatively uncommon. There are a number of signs which are typical of snake bites and, if observed, should be followed by prompt intensive therapy.

Just as children go to preschool and kindergarten to socialise with other children and to learn a little before starting school, puppy pre-school prepares pups for later dog obedience training. Puppy pre-school is designed for puppies between the ages of 8 - 14 weeks of age. This school enables them to them to learn basic obedience, to mix with other puppies and other people, all in the setting of the Veterinary Hospital.

This morning we took our little fur baby Max to the vet for a follow up appointment, he has a collapsed trachea. We are so impressed with Dr Marena Stols, she is such a caring fur baby Dr. Max gets very anxious yet he was comfortable enough to go straight to Marena. Thank you so much for making Max better. I would highly recommend Tamworth veterinary Hospital.

I was happy with the price of immunizing my 2 cats, I was charged $90.50 for the 1st pet & $77.80 for the 2nd. There is also a free health check included which I thought was great & the vet was very thorough. She took their temperatures, checked their eyes, ears, tummy, teeth & weighed them. She recommended some dental food to help remove the calculus that has built up on their teeth. I found that the food, although it was the Hills brand which is one of the best, was quite expensive (I found the same brand online for $20 cheaper) so that is why I gave 4 stars instead of 5. There is also a groomer
