Services
Bushtucker River and Winery Tours are owned and guided by Helen Lee, a West Australian with an education in Anthropology, Botany and Teaching. The tours commenced in 1988 in Pemberton W.A. as a project by Helen to bring the natural world to the visitor in a fun, informative and valuable way! In 1990, Helen Lee opened her Bushtucker Canoe Tour on the Margaret River, and guided every tour 360 days of the year, for the next 6 years.
On every Bushtucker Gourmet Winery Tour, we visit 4 wineries (which we alter daily) as well as one local boutique brewery. We are welcomed at all large and small cellars. The Grove Cocktail venue is a guest favorite, request on booking! The wineries visited on the day are a combination of small boutique cellar doors and also larger icon cellar doors.
We had the best day with Bushtucker tours! We dragged our kids (14, 12 and nine) along and Julie, our guide, made sure they had fun too! Beautiful wineries, lunch was amazing and beautifully presented. Super impressed with Cape Naturaliste winery, the host was extremely knowledgeable and made our experience fun and informative.
This Tour is packed with iconic Margaret River Wineries, gourmet tastings and a hosted Wine Estate lunch. Value for money and quality locations are what have always made the Bushtucker Team so popular! Jump aboard a Bushtucker Tour, famously known for our unique Australian atmosphere and award-winning guides, and experience the best the Margaret River region has to offer.

I went on my 9th Bushtucker Tour on Friday with a friend. I pride myself on being a ‘repeat offender’ and every single tour has been amazing. I’ve done other tours in the South West and I can tell you this is by far the best. From the prompt pick-up, great tour guides who are passionate about sharing the history about the region, to that amazing lunch that showcases our finest bush tucker.
A big thanks to Dan, our tour guide this time who made sure that our small group of 8 had a fantastic day with lots of laughs.
See you again for number 10 😉.

Went on the canoe tour for the third time today. The guides are professional and experienced ensuring that beginner paddlers are looked after and equipped with skills. Safety is a high priority. The trip is about four hours duration on Margaret River beginning at the mouth
You probably paddle for about two hours of this. Children are welcome and well catered for. Large canoes can fit four people in them. The guides tell stories from the history of the area as well as general Aboriginal stories. They give informative info about different bish foods and provide samples. The trip up the river is

We did the Margaret River canoe tour. We had booked for one day but my son was sick during the night before so we inquired if a reschedule was possible, which was quickly arranged for us. The tour was fantastic! Our guides, Chelsea and Dan were perfect, lots of fun and friendly and provided great info on the local flora and fauna. The bushtucker lunch was a highlight! Thank you 🙏

Our guide Dan was fabulous, super knowledgeable, very friendly, funny guy and made it a great comfortable day for us all. The tour was great value for money, we had so many tastings, a great lunch (which had things we normally wouldn't try on an ordinary day!) and was just an all round great day out. Thanks so much Dan, would definitely do a tour with you again. Emma & Josh :)

We had a lovely day out in the Bush tucker canoeing tour. The tour guide was really great, there was a mix of historical information and local plant/animal/environment information. Nice little paddle up the river, a swim and super yum lunch. It was a great family day out with no effort on our side as all the planning, including lunch, has been done by the tour group.

Dam and Connie were super friendly and professional from the beginning to the end. They all the time kept an eye on everything to know if we were having fun and safe. The food was amazing and we enjoy the history of the place and the nature.
After the tour, we came across whit Dam and Connie in a brewing nearby and we had such a good time with some beers and a chat. You can tell that they love their job and vine in Margaret River. I’ll recommend the tour to my friends

I’m not really one to write reviews but what a fantastic experience! I booked this tour for my husband and 7 year old daughter on a weekend trip to Margaret River from Perth. Interesting, informative and fun! A real contrast to the usual winery etc weekend down south. We got to experience the river from a totally different perspective- learning a bit about the local history, native plant and animal facts. Chelsea was an amazing young guide- enthusiastic, friendly and genuine. She went out of her way to ensure everyone enjoyed themselves. The bush tucker picnic was beautifully presented and gave

10/10 Experience!
We so enjoyed our tour with Allie, our guide on a beautifully sunny Friday morning. The group size was about 12 people and we had a blast. Between canoeing the beautiful Margaret River, we stopped at different places to learn more about the native flora surrounding us.
A definite highlight was the bushtucker lunch, consisting of delicious native ingredients such and smoked emu, kangaroo and crocodile.
We would certainly recommend this tour to anyone passing through the region, it's fantastic value and an even better experience.

My partner and I had an amazing time and learned so much about wines and winemaking! Lenny, aka Len-dog, as our group has nicknamed him, is passionate with what he does, and answered all our questions with such enthusiasm. We're definitely going to be repeat offenders! Highly recommended and 100% worth booking a tour with them!
