Services
In 1995, the first Foodstar restaurant was opened. The attention to customer service and food quality soon made Foodstar so popular that there were long line-ups. People drove from across Melbourne to enjoy the Foodstar Experience! All these happy customers encouraged the founding partners to consider opening another location.

For the price you pay, you can't complain with the variety of food on offer. Been here a few times over the years.

This place never changes. Salmon and Mussels were bland, potato salad water logged. I think I tasted more high salt content food than anything. Chicken and Veg always good. Enjoyed the fruit to finish overall

Would never recommend this place to anyone. For a high price of $30 there is only old meat covered in mounds of greasy oil, frozen meat thats been pulled out to room temperature for days if not weeks, the sweet and sour pork, and the edible chips. All the food is either bland or inedible, most likely unhygienic and some of it reeks of grease. The plates and cups are plastic and worn to the point where near cracks are visible, and the knives and forks are blunt and old with stains. The decor is old and clashes on all levels from the pink tables with wooden edges to golden food bays and plain white

I would honestly say this place is a hit and miss.
Very outdated needs to be renovated. Upon visiting for a dinner I found a ladybug in my garden salad.
Knowing that since the pandemic lockdowns small business are really struggling so I didn't want to make a big deal out of it. Small bugs are usually found in fresh salads like this even at woolworths (Rare cases)
Just like to put it out there check your food before you eat it! Especially here it's already dark inside makes it harder too see these insects.

Worst restaurant I've ever been to in Melbourne. Plates were small and cups weren't washed properly. This place needs major cleaning and needs to be inspected by health and safety experts . Very unsatisfied with not only the food but also the utensils being used. Everything about the restaurant was very outdated. Don't recommend and the prices were ridiculous for what they were offering. The food is disgusting and almost everything is dirty and unsanitary.

We wanted to go to Mambo's (across from the restaurant) but it was so packed we couldn't get a seat and so Foodstar was our only option as the food court was closed due to us watching a late movie. Next time I will happily starve over going here again 😫 The staff were great but the food lacks everything from heat, flavour, seasoning and freshness. My husband got a sore stomach almost instantly. Not happy Jan 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️

We used a voucher for this meal on Wednesday night....Positive some food was wonderful like the prawns and the homemade sauce for them, noodles, sesame balls dim sims, honey chicken all great..... best mussels i have ever had they were huge.... only 2 people working on the floor one for bookings one doing tables she did a great job cleaning up quickly...Now for the negative....we arrived at 6.10 and it was like most of the food had been sitting there since lunch (i did you a favour not posting pictures of that food)... we didn't touch most of it as it looked dry and unappealing... so sorry as i

We love to eat in different outlets and most important we prepare delicious and fresh meals on daily basis at home. Food Star in Frankston under Tony and his sister renders a social service actually as many people: e.g. large families, seniors and people who work/live around the area have the opportunity to enjoyable delightful and well presented buffets (overseas they call them smorgardorf) and, extremly good value for $. So, Tony: You are the best host and we always support your restaurant. Take care and best regards to each of u. We had a another lovely lunch today.

Ive given foodstar 3 stars, The staff was friendly an the price i payed for 3children and 2adults could of been a bit more cheaper, considering i arrived near closing time. The effort on presentation was good but it could of been a bit more tasty on the good old taste buds.
