It's our goal to make an accurate diagnosis of your injury and to determine WHY it has occurred. If we understand what drives your injury, it is more likely that your treatment and rehabilitation program will be effective in the long term. To achieve this we will listen to your story, assess your whole body in relation to your injury and empower you to understand and manage your problem independently.

Sports physiotherapy is a specialist area that relates to injuries or illnesses caused by sport and exercise. Essentially these injuries fall commonly within the scope of general musculoskeletal conditions such as muscle and ligament strains or sprains, joint and bone injuries. The significant difference is often understanding the role sport has in these injuries.
Like all sports golf is part technical, part tactical, part mental and part physical. The proportion of these can vary enormously between individuals and while your golf coach may work on the first three the physical element can sometimes be left behind. If you optimise the physical component, the other areas can vastly improve.
These techniques may include a physical assessment where your physio will test joint movements, strength, sensation and reflexes. Movements are often assessed as whole patterns (walking, standing, bending etc) and your physio may screen these movements to look for dysfunction. Rehabilitation is centered on specific exercises to enhance function and improve motor control around the joints.
The thorax (chest) is made up of rings. A ring is the functional unit of the thorax. The fourth ring, for example, is composed of the 4th rib on the right, the vertebral body, the 4th rib on the left and the breast bone at the front. There are 13 separate joints in one of these rings and there are 12 rings in the thorax.

I've suffered ongoing issues related to hypermobility throughout my life, and Kate is the first therapist I've had who's been able to contextualize and explain my pain in a way that makes sense outside of the immediate injury. Kate is a truly amazing physio who has a deep understanding of body mechanics and who goes above and beyond to make sure you understand how to best lessen your chances of future pain and injury. Couldn't recommend her more highly.

I’ve seen Kate over the past few years for different things and her treatment approach and knowledge are outstanding. She is excellent at explaining concepts and giving pointers on how to do strengthening/activation exercises well. Thanks to the guidance she gave me following a recent knee injury, plus my continued integration of previous exercises she has given me, I’ve been back on my bike doing 200km weeks without being in pain. One of the revolutionary things I’ve learnt from Kate is how to gauge pain levels in my body in order to adapt and progressively strengthen without overloading

Erin is an extremely talented physiotherapist who has successfully diagnosed and rectified a number of chronic problems in both myself and friends that I have referred to him. His extensive knowledge and methodical approach has worked wonders in conditions that other practitioners have failed to treat. I would highly recommend Erin to anyone requiring physiotherapy.
