Our philosophy is that it is in our clients' best interests to settle their matter in a way that is fair, reasonable and realistic, and that their legal costs reflect this manner of settlement.
Separation and contacting a Family Lawyer for the first time can be a scary step to take. It's something most of us never really want to do. Many people have not come into contact with lawyers or the legal system, perhaps only when purchasing their home. In our experience, most clients leave their initial consultation feeling reassured and even relieved as they have been empowered with insights specific to their situation.
I am not yet separated but I am concerned and have questions about the future of my relationship. A number of clients who see us for an initial consultation are not actually separated. They are concerned about the current status of their marriage or de facto relationship and are not sure what a separation would involve for them and their family.

When your relationship breaks down, the emotional journey can be a difficult one. My Father-in-law engaged Family Law Matters for his legal dispute. Antonella was not just a lawyer but a friend to my Father-in-law who required a great deal of emotional support at the time. Keith did a great job with my case which was very complicated and time consuming. He was attentive, responsive and extremely knowledgeable. Attorney Wessel represented me in a divorce. I not only received a fair settlement, but the cost of the divorce was reasonable. Attorney Wessel is not only knowleadable because of his years of experience, but he is also aggressive, strategic to help keep costs low, and honest. Keith did a great job for me in a complicated custody case. After shopping around, one attorney recommended Keith because she thought he was great with complicated custody cases. I was most impressed with Keith’s ability to think outside the box and foster cooperation from the opposing attorney and GAL. He was able to get the other attorneys to support his recommendations every step of the way. As a result, I now have a great custody situation that is satisfying for my kids, ex-wife, and also myself.
