My name is Jo and I started my cake journey in 2009! Wow that's a long time ago and after several years of working full time and baking full time, I quit my day job in 2016 and founded Cake My Day by Jo. Since then I have spent time developing many tasty premium cake flavours (all baked from scratch, no pre-mixes here) and I have become one of Brisbane's best buttercream wedding & celebration cake specialist.
With each and every cake created, I use the freshest, most natural, highest quality and locally sourced ingredients (including organic when ever I can get my hands on it) giving my cakes a fantastic flavour & texture. Services
We charge the same price for our cakes regardless of what your cake is for i.e. weddings, celebrations, events & corporate cakes. The reason wedding cakes can be expensive is because generally the more people you want to serve, the larger the cake, the more complex and detailed the design will mean more time, ingredients, decorations etc. so this will naturally result in a higher price.
We have kept our flavour range simple, with all cakes, fillings & buttercreams made fresh from scratch. Choose the flavour as it is listed or mix & match from our alternative filling and buttercream range. Close your eyes and imagine you're having pancakes & ice-cream for breakfast and that exactly what this flavour tastes like - filled with Canadian maple syrup & vanlla SMBC.
To help you navigate the some of the complex terminology you may read or hear used in the cake world and to help you gain a better understanding of what goes into your cake apart from butter, sugar, flour eggs, we have taken the time to sit down and create an informative and comprehensive information guide.
Unfortunately we are not able to offer delivery to the gold & sunshine coast areas and surrounds. We don't make fondant covered or novelty shaped cakes. We had this cake for our wedding a month ago (18th Dec 21). My partner and I were so happy how it turned out as soon as it was delivered on our wedding day! it's just amazing. not only beautiful outside but was very delicious :-p We had pretty cupcakes too but didn't leave any photos unfortunately. I think we were so busy smashing them. just wanted to say big thanks to Jo for this lovely cake. Thanks so much xx

Jo made my cake for my sons 1st birthday. It was a Winnie the Pooh themed cake, I sent Jo an inspiration picture and she made it her own, and it was absolutely BEAUTIFUL! It was obvious that a lot of time, effort and care had gone in to the cake! Everyone could not get over how beautiful it looked, let alone how delicious it tasted.
I’ll definitely be recommending Jo for all future cakes and I will be back to order more!

We had the most amazing Wedding Cutting Cake & Cupcake Tower made by Jo. Everyone commented on it on how beautiful it was. The flavours were also to die for and there was no leftovers. Jo was very helpful with everything and we gladly recommend Cake My Day by Jo. Thank you once again Jo, for helping in making our day a most memorable one.

Jo created the most beautiful wedding cake for my now husband and I. She is really easy to communicate with and was very responsive to emails. The final product was exactly what we asked for and looked and tasted amazing. She also sent through a cake storage guide to ensure our leftovers kept for as long as possible - this was super helpful. I would definitely recommend Jo to anyone looking for someone to make their wedding cake.

We recently had one of the best experiences of our lives, we had the pleasure of Jo baking on of her supreme cakes for an event and we were extremely impressed with the quality and detail goes into her cakes. The time and workmanship of a true pro!

Just amazing. Jo was very friendly and helpful. Jo made a cake for me for my twin nieces 21st. My husband and my sister’s family and the twins all came from Canberra for a long weekend for girls birthday in Brisbane. The cake was beautiful and tasted great, everyone loved it. Would recommend cakemydaybyjo.

Lovely service and Jo was professional on getting our wedding cake promptly!
We had the strawberries and cream base with a butterscotch ripple and needless to say they were both a hit. I will most definitely recommend Jo should you require a cake for any events - she is a 1 woman show so please understand and be patient, the end result is totally worth it!

We cannot recommend Jo highly enough. She is professional, and certainly knows her cakes. I came across her website, and sent her an enquiry to which she replied promptly. We scheduled a cake tasting and immediately knew that we should get her to do our wedding cake.
Our guests adored our cake, it looked so pretty and it looked like it's straight out of Pinterest!
We also all agreed that the cake was delicious. The vanilla and lemon curd just work well together. It was a perfect end to a lovely dinner.
