The Richmond Gym
The Richmond Gym is a boutique functional strength & conditioning fitness centre that takes a scientific approach to health and fitness. Our vision is to create a world leading boutique health and fitness centre in Melbourne focused on evidence-based and measurable training techniques that can be individually tailored.

We base our training on tested principles that work for athletes and we tailor these to your fitness goals. If you progressively improve, you'll get results over time and you won't dread going to gym to 'smash yourself'. Use other people for inspiration and motivation, but aim to exceed your own expectations and targets for your own personal training goals.
Services
The Richmond Gym (TRG) takes the guess work out of fitness so you can focus on living a full life and doing the things you love. The TRG Method and community will keep you motivated to reach your fitness goals and have fun along the way. We're not CrossFit. We love what they do but our philosophy is different.
The Richmond Gym delivers 100% measurable, expert designed Strength and Conditioning programs featuring unique strength and functional equipment and bodyweight movements. Long term planning is a big part of The Richmond Gym and we do not take a one size fits all approach to training.

Within each week of training there are multiple workouts that are designed to fit together to allow for continual progression, regardless of your current fitness level.Teacher James Ross (world champion kettlebell athlete, and the coach who coaches the coaches) takes you through one hour of kettlebell practice to help master all facets of kettlebell movements.
The gym will be open for you to train between 5-8pm Monday to Friday and 9am-12 midday on Saturday. The group class schedule is shown below and connects to MindBodyOnline, the software we use for membership and class management. You can also sign up for group fitness classes using the App or directly at our page on the MindBodyOnline website.
TRG Accelerate is suited to people who don't have time for more classes or who train or play sports other nights of the week and don't want to over train. If you can't train regularly, our 12 Session Pack allows you to train in 12 sessions over a 12 month period for maximum flexibility. I love this gym!

Have never felt so comfortable as a female at a gym. James, Ash and the rest of the team are always on-hand to provide guidance for all workouts and will ensure you are challenged yet also modify exercises to suit your ability level (or manage pre-existing injuries). The passion Ash and James have shows in their clients and has created a great community! Could not recommend more.

Best place!! Everyone is supes smart, helpful & positive. Group classes aren't one-size-fits-all, but customised on the fly to take into consideration your wonky knee or sore back. Wonderful to just show up and have essentially personal training every single session. Bargain for the price.
