From general checkups and prevention of tooth decay, to extraction, smile restoration and the urgency of treating children who have damaged their teeth in an accident, we provide a full range of dental services to kids of all ages. Children are prone to injuries, and when these affect the mouth and teeth we know it can be a particularly stressful time for kids and their parents.
Taking a child to the dentist can be as stressful for the parent as it is for the little one, particularly if they have additional needs. At Dental Paediatrix in Bondi we have many years' experience treating children of all ages and with all manner of unique requirements. We want to assure you that your child's comfort and wellbeing are our absolute priority.
Your first visit will take around half an hour, and will include a family-friendly introduction to the clinic as well as a gentle examination of your child's teeth and gums. After getting to know you and your child, we will provide nutritional guidance and explain procedures to assist with gum care, teething (if required), best-practice toothbrushing and more.
We recommend once they get their first tooth, or from the age of one year, as it will help to familiarise your child with the dental environment and get them used to having their teeth checked. Appointments at this age also provide your dentist with an opportunity to give care and nutritional advice which can help to reduce the occurrence of preventable decay.

Our dentist referred us to Dr Jad because of my daughter dental issue and 2 teeth's on the lower jaw needs to be pulled, One is on the left and one on the right. She needs a spacer as well so the tooth can grow where meant to be and he managed all of that without any tears, he uses a local anesthetic and laughing gas. He's a very skilled, professional and excellent paediatric doctor. Well-spoken and skilled when comes to kids. We have had an excellent experience and I would recommend him to anyone.

Excellent experience. Dr Jad managed to pull our 5yr old's tooth with a local anaesthetic and laughing gas masterfully and not a single tear shed (onneither side). We weren't keen to have this done under full anaesthesia in a hospital so it was great to have that option. He is very skilled and soft spoken with kids and I would highly recommend this clinic.

The best dentist I’ve ever encounterd. We were referred to Dr. Clark because my six year old has complex dental issues and ended up needing an extraction. He did it in the chair and she had no idea she’d even had a tooth pulled until after the procedure was over. He was so skilful, and a natural with kids. I could not recommend more.

Hello I'm Aimee Stromeier from Newcastle NSW , Both myself and my sister Samantha have both had the wonderful pleasure of being paediatric dental patients of Professor Richard Widmer through the Paediatric Dental Department of The Children's Hospital @ Westmead from 1995 - 2009 when we got to old and had to Transition to a Paediatric / Special Needs Dentist in Newcastle NSW, I have to amit we absolutely hate going near dentists but we so very much loved coming down to visit Prof Widmer , it was always funny seeing him in 2 different colour shoes each time a bit confusing to people who had never
