Yarraville Veterinary Clinic
Yarraville Veterinary Clinic provides a complete range of pet health and well-being services from our charming green cottage in Yarraville. Our experienced veterinary team provide best practice advice and treatments, so you can be sure your pet is getting the best care available. Our vets are backed up by our indispensable nursing and customer support teams, who are here to make sure you have the best possible experience at our practice.

Our practice provides priority care for emergency cases during our regular business hours. We proudly provide veterinary care and services for a range of animals in Yarraville and Melbourne's inner West.
Services
Dr Ian has been in the practice for over 40 years. In his spare time he enjoys growing vegetables, talking to his chooks and goldfish, and being bossed about by his cats. Nurse Ash is our latest addition to our grooming team as well as being one of our valuable Veterinary Nurses. We proudly provide veterinary care and services for a range of animals in Yarraville and Melbourne's inner West.
To keep your pet in the best possible health we recommend scheduling an annual health check. Provide pet care advice and suggestions that can help you keep your pet healthy and happy. If you have any special requests or specific concerns we ask that you make these known to our receptionist prior to consultation.
Vaccinations are a vital aspect of responsible pet ownership: they protect against preventable diseases and can help manage and prevent complications arising from a compromised immune system. They are also necessary for lodging your pet at boarding facilities or vet hospitals, as they protect your pet from unintentionally sharing, or catching, any preventable diseases.
Desexing, or neutering, is a soft tissue surgery performed on male and female pets in order to remove parts of their reproductive system. Called spaying in females, and castration in males, desexing can limit health issues that can arise from unwanted or early pregnancy, as well as behavioural and territorial issues associated with mating.
Like us, our pets need regular dental checks to ensure that their teeth and gums are healthy. Dental disease affects 4 out of every 5 cats and dogs over the age of three years and, aside from being painful for your pet, can cause serious complications. A build-up of plaque and tartar that accumulates on your pet's teeth causes infection in the gums.

She now grooms my beautiful dog regulary giving her so much love and TLC that makes me always feel comfortable leaving her in her wonderful care. She goes above and beyond to provide a wonderful great safe caring service and environment. I highly recommend her. Thanks for everything Anne!!

Positive: Professionalism
We have been going to this Vet for the last 20 years for both cats and dogs. They have always been professional and compassionate. I have never had a bad experience with them and they are so gentle with my pets. My current dog actually pulls to go in to the vet which says a lot!

Can I just say.... I have never met a vet clinic that genuinely feels for your animal. After a full greyhound surgery and a cat surgery on the way, I couldn't feel more comfortable recommending the amazing staff here. Also.... the prices are incredibly reasonable! Not charging more for a high "pet friendly" area.
Please support them!!!!

Had a dental procedure on one of my dogs(14yrs old) without any fuss. Our local vet would not perform this procedure when asked several times due to age and risk.

I would never recommend this vet to anyone calling wild cats & or kittens feral which is not actually the case calling my friends cats who are scardies feral & suggesting they be put down they were both rescue cats that had been previously abused physically they are lovely once they get comfortable with you please avoid at all costs since they obviously don’t know what the difference is between 3 different terminologies that are used and there is a HUGE difference .

Absolutely love this vet, always so kind and knowledgeable and they genuinely love animals. I’ve had to pick up food before with my baby in the car and the staff have kindly run out to the car with my goods to drop off and take payment. They’re very reasonably priced and always take a holistic approach to your pet care. Definitely recommend!!

I’m new to the area and contacted this vet clinic based on a recommendation and I wasn’t disappointed. I have a dog with several health issues so finding a vet that understands this breed and can provide sound advice for this breed is crucial and rare, so very happy with their service, expertise and care for my pet.
They were very busy as well, so I’m obviously not the only one who thinks they’re great!

New to the area in August 2020. I loved my experience at this Vet after having an average experience elsewhere. The appointment was quick and efficient and I felt heard and that I was providing the best care for my best friend, my 11 year old Jack Russell. I will now use this as my main Vet going forward.

First time visiting a vet for both me and my doggie today. The team at Yarraville made the experience for the both of us very pleasant, friendly and quick. The vet gave me honest feedback and wasn't pushy in selling products to me. I really recommend Yarravile Vet to anyone who wants to have the best treatment for their pets. We will be going there again for his next checkup.

The staff at Yarraville Vet Clinic are brilliant, the people at the reception are friendly and kind, exactly what you want when you bring your pet into a vets. The veterinarian there has a zillion pets herself so can be empathetic about our concerns, woes, obligated Jenny Craig weigh ins. (legal disclosure, I might have slightly embellished how many pets the veterinarian has)
