My room had ants everywhere in the kitchen it wasn’t clean the carpet was dirty my room smelled of urine and bathroom shower had mould in the door it wouldn’t close and the bathroom smelled of sewage. The air conditioning doesn’t have a heat button it was very cold and not enough bedding to keep you warm.

Rang this establishment to enquire whether patient travel had booked us for a couple of nights, as this was one of our choices. I was questioned and lectured on why I would stay somewhere else and not here. Each accommodation facility has advantages and disadvantages, and patients visiting for hospital appointments need to weigh up which is the… best option for them. Shocked and disappointed I needed to explain the reasons why I would choose to stay somewhere else over this establishment. I was simply enquiring on a booking, I shouldn't have to explain to anyone the choices I make on where

When a review starts with at least it’s clean, you should know there is not much else about the place that is possible. Zero charm and a little old, if well maintained. This purely functional motel would be ok if it were at a lower price point. Our rooms cost $145 & $149 respectively. The host was very charming though. The reasonably tall man shower test was failed.

We had a great stay. The owner was very nice and helpful. We got to stay in the group accommodation room which was huge. Free wifi worked really well and free Foxtel was great! Nice and close to shopping centre and the hospital. One tip - make sure you have a chocolate cake on hand for the owner - he loves them!!

This is service with a smile! The rooms are kept clean and there is limited cooking equipment in the kitchenette of each room, the only drawback for the we whom indulge in a cigarette is that smoking is not allowed outside our rooms as like most other places, the lodge has 3 designated smoking area's, which isn't too bad unless you're in an upstairs room & then it becomes a never ending stair treading experience

This is a great place to stay, clean rooms, everything you need, close to large shopping centres, good take away in walking distance. Darryl is a pleasant and helpful host, a good natured man and hospitable, making a stay at Cedar Lodge trouble free and comfortable. What more do you need? The charges compare more than favourably with other accommodation around Townsville. I recommend this motel and will definitely stay here next time I'm in the area. Thanks for a pleasant stay :)

Nice rooms, friendly proprietors. Clean and tidy. Only disappointment was when asked for a wheelchair accessible room, we were given a room that my friend couldn't even get herself to the door on her own. Bathroom was not wheelchair friendly, and the shower unaccessible totally. Not a wheelchair friendly place to stay, which is unfortunate.
