Our team of dentists, hygienists, therapists, front office and clinical coordinators, receive extensive, ongoing professional development and training to ensure they always deliver the highest standard of care.
At Hastings Family Dental Care, we believe in preventative dentistry. Examinations and scale and cleans are an essential way to prevent tooth and gum disease. If fillings are needed, a resin composite (white) is the most common material used. We also use a Glass Ionomer material which releases fluoride - this is often used with kids.
If you are a member of any of the major health funds then we can process your claim quickly and easily at your appointment by swiping your membership card on our HICAPs terminal. This will deduct your benefit from your health fund leaving only the gap payment remaining. Children who have dental extra's cover with their health are entitled to 'Gap-Free' examinations!
At Hastings Family Dental Care we employ all the latest technologies to ensure every patient receives optimum care. All intra-oral x-ray imaging is produced in digital format & is immediately available for viewing on a computer screen!
This state of the art technology requires less than 1/3 of the radiation dose compared with that of a conventional x-ray film & the ability to view the image within seconds saves valuable time and makes for on the spot treatment planning.Our OPG x-rays are also in a digital format using the most modern and advanced OPG machine.

Dentist Andrew and dental nurse Jess opened the clinic on a Saturday evening after my son broke one of his front teeth. Hastings Family Dental have been fantastic in helping me overcome my dental phobia. Dr Alan and the assistants have created a very personable environment. I had some complications with a recent crown, and they have been very diligent in over coming the issues, I feel thankful to have found a dental practise I can really trust

I have been a patient of the clinic for over a year and a half now. I do drive a distance to get there, I see Dr Andrew, he has always been thorough in his treatments. More importantly, he presents me with several treatment options before devising a treatment plan, I then know exactly how much it will cost before, not after!!! It is definitely much cheaper than other clinics in the area. I have called and checked and suggest you do the same. The clinic is really modern, newly renovated, the front desk girls are friendly and the nurses are amazingly caring. If you are not a fan of going to the dentist

I hate going to the dentist like you wouldn't believe, but this would have to be the nicest bunch of dentists that I have ever been to. The last time I was there, they actually had me laughing, while they were pulling a tooth out (and no, they didn't use laughing gas). I have found them to be kind, courteous, professional and patient. I could not recommend them highly enough.
