I booked this hotel to attend a wedding and requested to checkin at 2 pm. I was told no. Upon asking then if I can book for Friday night I was told sure. So basically they were not flexible at all but happy enough to take another 225.00. Getting to the room the cleanliness was poor. Chunks of hair on the bathroom floor crumbs in the floor in the lounge. Finger marks all over the fridge and looks like someone used a steelo on the microwave. All and all a poor experience. Not sure I would stay again.

Amazing locale and an even more amazing staff! We were travelling with a 3 year old and they offered us milk for my child without us even asking for it! Kudos for going the extra mile for customers! Would love to visit again and again and again! Lovely hotel with amazing people and staff! Can't recommend enough!!!!

Basic room, still pretty good, I had to have a king sized bed, as my partner and I like to have a LOT OF ROOM !! Once we asleep, don't touch me!! Lol. Bed is nice and firm~ish, pillows seem to be good. Block out blinds for that morning sun. Nice and quiet room. Bathroom floor needs towels on floor or you will be sliding around. But still, pretty good prices for the area.

Terribly loud music from next door last Friday and Saturday night kept an interstate friend awake all night. Apparently this has happened before.
Reception did nothing about it. My friend was told she could call the police after 11 pm.
This is unacceptable!
I don’t recommend staying at this hotel on weekends.

Pictures did not look like the room in real life. Dust everywhere, furniture was old and had marks/chips all over it. Windows were frosted so couldn’t even see outside and blinds were absolutely filthy. The bathroom was very old and the shower looked like something out of a prison. Outside lights were on all night (not sensors) so it came through… the huge drafty gaps in the door and windows. Way too noisy as I think this is a backpackers area. Coffee mugs were also filthy and looked about 30 years old. And an extra $10 for parking on top of your room fee is ridiculous. Wishing we

Had a mixed experience here so things of note are.
Pros, receptionists were lovely and we asked to upgrade room and they did this for little charge. Was happy with the room given it was an affordable price.
Cons - the showers aren't the best. In the two bedroom one the door kept swinging towards you whilst showering which was super annoying. The parking isn't 100% free either it turned out despite the ad on Expedia. Turns out it's first in best dressed and if you're not early enough they'll charge you for one of their other spots. So if you have a car maybe not the best.

Love the place so much! So near the beach & cafes! Got a 1 bedroom suite with 1 queen beed & 2 singles in the living room for a family of 2 adults 1child. Worth the price we paid for although, do not expect 5* service or quality. Frequent train noises outside but we are not bothered by it! Decent stay to just hangout in the beach district. Will definitely stay again!

Location was great, was within walking distance to a bunch of shops and the beach. Room was average just a little bit old, only real downside was that there is only one outlet in the room to charge any devices (unless you count the outlets in use and the one in the bathroom), made it pretty difficult to charge all 6 of our devices. Service was average too, couple nice people, couple people that don't say hi, housekeeping was pretty low they made the beds, cleared the floor and put out bags in the wardrobe other than that they didn't do much. Tl;dr place is good if you're staying for a few days

Super friendly and helpful staff. Room has everything you need, and was very clean. My only complaint was that the walls were pretty thin. You can hear those in the room next to you pretty easily. I especially liked that they have a free movie rental policy. As one of the days I was there it rained all day, and this gave me something to do.

Super charming, ultra-convenient location in the bohemian St. Kilda hood. I, fortunately, no longer have an admin booking my business trips, and was looking for a hotel by the beach, sorrrrt of close to my meetings... It's a 10-minute walk to the beach, and right next to busy Acland Street, which is lined with heaps of bars, shops, and restaurants covering every vibe you could want.
At the hotel itself you can borrow movies from the lobby for free, the front desk staff are exceptionally friendly, and the best part: a beer and wine fridge at the front desk.
My only complaint is that it&apos

Looks really nice when you pull up to the front an the staff are really nice but once you leave the lobby it feels like a sketchy motel. At least my room does. I had to walk out a side door around to the back where my ground floor room door is just open to the public which never feels as safe to me. There were two people on chairs outside their room chatting which was just weird. What the heck are they doing hanging out in a hotel parking lot?
The room is clean and comfortable but it is VERY loud. Traffic noise and music/talking/yelling from a nearby bar or party won't make it easy to sleep

Haven't actually stayed here yet but many work colleagues have. Cosmopolitan is another hotel from the '8 hotels' family. It has a really nice modern look with staff members all adorned in 8 Hotels uniform which is an elegant black. Being a more botique hotel, the stay is comfortable with many facilities but don't expect 5 stars. Location is awesome, I highly recommend your cross the road for dinner at Radio Mexico and you have the whole main Fitzroy strip around the corner from you.

Cosmopolitan Hotel is part of the 8 Hotels collection, of which there are 15 hotels world wide. Ummm, the maths doesn't really add up does it? Luckily they do hospitality better then arithmetic and the St. Kilda location is no exception.
This boutique budget hotel is located one street back from Acland street and the esplanade, and here lies both the reason for staying here and the reason to not. The location cannot be beaten in St Kilda. Your minutes away restaurant, bars, shops, transport and the beach. This is fantastic obviously! The trouble is if your allocated a front facing room, it

Great affordable accommodation option right in the heart of St Kilda, public transport at your doorstep as well as complimentary parking need I say more.
The Cosmopolitan Hotel has a range of rooms available ranging from smaller cosy rooms for single travellers, or perhaps those a bit of a budget, to apartments complete with kitchen and lounge facilities, climate control and of course a fully stocked mini bar.
I found the rooms to be adequate but nothing overly flashy, staff are very friendly and no the area well, so can advise guests on activities and sights to see. The Cosmopolitan Hotel is
