Mitchelton Physiotherapy Sport and Rehabilitation Centre was established more than 40 years ago. Janine Whitlock-Soetens has been the owner since 1997 and the Practice has grown since and now consists of 3 physiotherapists. Our physiotherapists are all highly experienced with different areas of expertise, like lymphoedema, pilates, migraines and headaches which are highlighted in their individual staff profiles.

What is Acupuncture? Acupuncture is one of the oldest recorded forms of medicine having been used for over 3000 years. It utilises fine needles to stimulate acupuncture points throughout the body. Modern science has shown that acupuncture stimulates the brain to produce natural pain relieving chemicals called endorphins.

Do I require a referral? You do NOT need a referral to see our physiotherapist or exercise physiotherapists. However you do need a referral when you are a DVA (Department of Veterans' Affairs), a Work Cover, Third party, MCRS or CDM (also known as EPC) patient. If you are unsure if you require a referral please ring our friendly receptionists on 07 33541300.
Our friendly and highly trained staff are here to ensure your experience is as successful as possible. Janine graduated in 1992 from the international Academy of Physiotherapy in Utrecht, The Netherlands, with a bachelor of physiotherapy. She migrated to Australia in 1993 and worked in private practice as a senior physiotherapist and manager for 3 years before taking over Mitchelton Physiotherapy in 1997.
