Delicious hot coffee in real porcelain cups, served with fine restaurant quality food, fast friendly service, makes you feel welcomed and valued customer, very popular especially on weekends mornings for breakfast and lunch, try the specials Daintree panfried barramundi chips, smashed Avocado and crispy bacon on Turkish or Vienna toast. The East End Hub one of the best cafes in Newcastle East. We are regulars highly recommended!

Coffee meh! Usual weak tasteless Australian blend no surprises there, service ok, food not bad, decor nice being that's it is new overall 3 stars didn't wow me kitchen flare could certainly be better, getting the kitchen staff to watch a few cooking shows for inspiration wouldn't be a bad thing. Wasn't good enough to want to return but not awful either. Until I got the bill. Overpriced and under delivers $73 for 2 for breakfast hell no.. Never again!!

Visited East end hub this morning with my wife. I'll preface this by saying the reason we came here was to re-test the bacon and egg roll I had roughly 12 months ago. I came in January 2021 and decided it was the best bacon and egg roll. Since then, I've had my fair share of other bacon and egg rolls, so testing out the number 1 spot was important.
We arrived, it was around 8am and fairly quiet. Service was great, ordered coffees straight away and they arrived shortly after.
I ordered a bacon and egg roll and my wife had the banana ricotta hotcakes. The roll was great. Was it as good as I remember

Consistently and absolutely amazing every visit I make. The staff are highly professional and attentive to my presence. The food is delicious. Making minor adjustments to a dish is absolutely no problem. The chef really cares and it's like I'm a friend dropping in every time. The reception is outstanding.

I live pretty local to east end hub and regularly take visitors here EVERYTIME I go there is always an issue with the service, ALWAYS! I have given them the benefit of the doubt time and time again as the food… is pretty good But your SERVICE is woeful Yesterday we waited for over an hour for our food, even when we asked twice, we were told our food was on its way.... We then had the manager inform us that the waiter had lost our order and it had never been placed! 1.5 hour wait for food is unacceptable and unfortunately we won’t be back 🥺

The most important meal of the day is one that takes many forms, and is enjoyed in many places... so why not by the water?
The East End Hub is tucked away just back from Newcastle Beach, and in this yelper's opinion it's one of Newcastle's hidden gems. Within seconds of arriving, we were seated by a very enthusiastic waiter (who I assume was the owner). He made it his mission to ensure everyone who he seated was getting the most of their somewhat expensive but amazing breakfast experience.
A large soy latte (which ended up coming out as full cream), a small flat white, bacon

We had breakfast today (14.6.2020) and I would not reccomend the place to anyone. We asked kindly to be seated inside as outside was very cold. The waitress told us that it is going to be a while so we seated out side. while we were sitting out side other people just went straight in and seems like they were regulars or known people of the staff. At the end we asked again if we can come inside and then she replied yeah few people left you may come and bring your stuff with you. We had to pick our glasses and all, which we do not mind doing at all but the response was rude and very impolite.Food

On Saturday mornings it is overflowing with customers and a favourite among cyclists judging from all the parked bikes. Probably a better mode of transport anyway as parks can be scarce.
Despite the numbers they churn out breakfast orders seemingly unaffected.
It was nice to see something different on the breakfast menu and my order of roasted mushrooms was just that, enjoyably different. Served with creamy goats cheese, pesto, baby spinach, poached eggs with flowing yolk and sourdough. I also scored my partners chilli jam which wasn't to his taste but I liked the level of heat and flavour
