Where do i start... the food was absolutely delicious and every bite was full of flavour! The service was 10/10 and i was happy with everything. The people working at the restaurant were so kind it honestly made the whole experience wonderful. As a Melburnian and a seafood lover, this restaurant is in the top of the list as my favourite restaurant!

On a monday night, I walked in with two friends and was immediately greeted by the friendly staff and the delicious aroma of seafood. The restaurant was fast filling up (it was already 7:00 p.m.), but we were fortunate to secure a table.  We ordered seafood and it was absolutely divine.This place is perfect for groups or a casual date night. By the end of the meal we were planning our next visit. I've got to admit this place has the best seafood in the bay and i look forward to try other varieties next time.

Meals were over priced based on their quality. Staff and mgmt was extremely rude. Customer service was non existent. Would never return to this restaurant. And the venue was unhygienic, especially during these covid times. 👎🏻
And I just noticed the night after we dined at Sandpipers, the mgmt team there had the decency to take on board our advice to list prices against all items on the menu, including the specials. As opposed to leaving prices off and surprising diners with excessive prices, which I stated at the time to being dishonest and even fraudulent. Anyone who dines there please

Never go back again. Meals are over priced and taking advantage of holiday season. We ordered the linguine prawn special which had no price advertised. When ordered I was asked if I wanted the lobster or Balmain bug as a topper. At no point was I told it was extra. The prawn linguine was about $34 on the menu so I expected this to be similar. When we got the bill it was $59. I would never have ordered this meal if I knew it was so expensive. The price should have been upfront. Sandpipers is a high quality and always well presented Restuarant. The staff are always very helpful and do their best to make you feel welcome at all times - even in the busy times. Most consistent restaurant in Nelson Bay.

Where do i even start, from the smiles and friendly greeting by the door the homey but luxurious ambience this restaurant gives. Their menu has a variety of dishes customers can choose from and are average in prices. It was my husband and i 20th wedding anniversary and i would like to thank all the waitstaff for making our night so memorable the most excellent service we have experience and the chefs for cooking our delicious meal. We will Definitely be back, 10/10 recommend this gem of a place.

I have a couple of favourite restaurants in the Hunter which I regularly go to, why you ask, well it’s all about the consistency. Having the same chefs, the same floor manager & long term staff and of course… the same consistency of delivering quality dishes. For such a touristic town at the peak of the travel season (between Christmas and NY), I was expecting restaurants to be open (majority is not) and offer more flex hours to accommodate the demand. Sandpipers was the only place we've been and read about that its kitchen was open past 8:30pm.
They have a fast service and lovely outside seating on a smaller charming street.
We ordered the fish of the day (barramundi) and the prawn linguini. The fish, despite being a little smaller in size, was absolutely perfect and our favorite dish. Strongly recommend it.

Do yourself a favour and visit this lovely restaurant. The food is absolutely amazing , staff were extremely friendly,,highly recommended!! Loved this place and will continue to visit ❤️

By far the best meal we have had in forever! The steak was amazing & the linguini was delicious! I highly recommend going there!! We took our 2 week old baby & the staff were very accommodating!

Went to this restaurant with my partner while on a gateway in Port Stephens. We had the seafood chowder, lobster pasta and fish of the day. Everything was good, tasty and the fish was very fresh. Service was courteous and attentive, we also got offered a complimentary dessert platter due to a little longer wait time for the mains, which was a very nice touch. Would definitely recommend this restaurant.

The booking was seamless. The restaurant and the service was very good Staff were relaxed and congenial. All in all a lovely dining experience. The only downfall was that we were not advised on booking that there was a second service. We did not order dessert as there was no time to enjoy. We would defiantly return!! Had a dinner with family and was worth visiting. Food was delicious and staff was friendly with very warm and cozy environment. recommend all to visit this place and would love to go back. Special shout out to Monica and Manish for excellent customer service.

Excellent meal all around! Top notch service and even better food. We had the half shell scallops, meat tasting dish, and the seafood linguine. Everything was cooked perfectly and full of flavour. The serving sizes were massive as well. I think it’s one of the best dinner spots in Nelson Bay.
