The restaurant was established just after the 2000 Sydney Olympics. In 2007 (October) the restaurant and function facilities were taken over by Vince Capolupo, whom had previously co owned the Trevi Restaurants at Leichhardt, Norwest Business Park and Penrith. The facilities prior to been taken over by Vince Capolupo had very limited usage and were not opened as a restaurant for the last 3 to 4 years.
Mr Capolupo had the vision to see the potential and the restaurant was opened with the view to servicing Penrith and providing an establishment where great food and great wines may be enjoyed in unique surroundings. The Lakeside restaurant also provides the perfect location for that special function whether it be a wedding, engagement or any other special occasion.

Located at the foot of the mountains and at Australia's Olympic rowing venue, Lakeside Restaurant has a exciting, fresh dining experience. At Lakeside, it's always about the taste. Freshly made dishes and delicious food are our calling card. We prepare ingredients on a daily basis and source our local produce several times per week from the markets and also use quality fresh produce.
The Lakeside restaurant provides the perfect surroundings for a wedding. The venue can accommodate quite a large number of guests for cocktail style or banquet style receptions. We held our wedding reception here prior to current lockdown 2021. As always Vince and his team excelled. Menu choices were great and food excellent. Guests commented how they enjoy. All were made to feel important. It was a location. Thoroughly recommend Lakeside. Thanks Vince for your hospitality you have a wonderful team.

Takeaway @ Lakeside Restaurant.
Restaurant Quality away from the Crowds.
We had some chips & ice creams for afternoon tea at the kiosk, realised that they don’t just sell fast food chips fizzy drinks a cappuccino and snacks…but a full lunch & dinner drive in and take out restaurant menu including wine!! So we went back for dinner!!
The menu was limited due to Covid, lots of seafood platters and some good choices, but we didn’t ask about gluten free.
We had coconut & mango prawns and crispy Asian chicken strips for entree, Asian style salmon with stir fried Asian vegetables and butter

We had a Valentine’s dinner (a night early!) and our expectations were vastly exceeded. Firstly, there’s enough bruschetta in a single serving to feed a small army. Secondly, since my lady has allergies to gluten, garlic, and onion (or the whole allium family really), this can make dining either boring or potentially explosive. However, the staff were beyond fantastic, customizing the duck so it was both delicious and non-fatal.
I had a steak in a peppercorn sauce so good the cow would have been pleased it had given its life for such a noble cause. These guys know how to treat their meat,

I honestly cannot recommend Vince and the Lakeside Restaurant enough! Due to COVID19, my husband and I weren't sure if we were going to be able have our wedding, but Vince and the team at Lakeside worked with us to make everything perfect and COVID safe for our special day!
From day one Vince was there helping us work out the details and which wedding package option would be best for us. Vince was an incredible host on what was the second day of Covid-19 easing.
My DW ordered the scampi and I had the black angel hair seafood pasta.
The taste transported me back 20years to a sunsetvdinner overlooking the Mediterranean in a small town along the Algerian Coast. Wonderful memories.
We finished with coffee and liqueur. Mine was a double espresso and a lemoncello
This has almost instantaneously become my favourite restaurant in Sydney. Do yourself a favour and get here.you won't be disappointed

Really nice restaurant. We have been trying to go visit the restaurant since we moved to Penrith 5 years ago but there was always something on at the Regetta on the weekend we wanted to go. We finally got our chance due to COVID. We had coffee and breakfast which was really delicious. We tried pancakes and vegetarian frittats. Great service.
