Davey Law specialises in all aspects of Family Law and is conveniently located in the Eaton Central shopping centre at Eatons Hill, where there is plenty of parking available (enter from Bunya Park Drive). As a law practice, our goal is to achieve just outcomes for our clients whilst at the same time minimising the worry and expense of legal action.
Your family law matter will be supervised by the firm's principal, Yvonne Davey, who has been practising Family Law exclusively since 1998. Whatever your family law problem might be, our staff will be able to guide and represent you in a professional and supportive manner until it is fully resolved.
If you and your partner have decided to go your separate ways, or if you are unsure about your entitlements should the relationship break down, it is prudent to have a discussion with a family lawyer about your rights and obligations in the event of a separation. We invite you to arrange an initial consultation to discuss the many aspects pertaining to a relationship breakdown.
If you have been separated from your partner for 12 months, you are eligible to apply for a divorce, as is your partner. The Family Court of Australia publishes a helpful Divorce Kit online. Many people choose to conduct their own divorce by following the guidelines set out in the Divorce Kit. Other people choose to have a lawyer handle their divorce, as it is an efficient way to complete filing and service of all requisite documents.
Parties in a domestic relationship, whether that relationship is marriage, de facto marriage or a same sex relationship, usually accumulate a property pool over the duration of the relationship. Upon separation, many couples are able to agree as to the division of assets and liabilities. In the event of a dispute between the parties as to the splitting up of various assets and liabilities, it is prudent to consult with a family lawyer.

Souless - money driven firm using DV applications for advantage in property and child access settlements. Do the tears of children ever keep you awake? I guess fancy cars and nice houses help ignore the trauma your tactics cause. How unscupulous solicitors sleep at night is beyond me. "
