I’ve never been to this pub before but was pleasantly surprised! Very close to the train station and shopping centre, good food and service.
I spent some time in the pokie area but unfortunately the pokie I was on stopped working a few times, a young lady called Fay fixed it and we talked for a while.
She offered me complimentary food and made an amazing cappuccino! Outstanding service like she gave me is few and far between these days.
Will be returning!

Ok. I bit noisy outside as can be expected as its near a very busy road. Efficient and knowledgeable bar staff. Bistro food is very good.

Shared cocktail carafe is very tasty. Be careful with the time you arrive - we could order cocktails downstairs when we arrived and it was super speedy, then we got past 5:30pm (as in, 5:31pm) and we had to order upstairs (who had just opened) and it took a while because we had to wait for other customers to do food orders before they got to making our cocktail. Would be fine after half an hour or so as more staff would be on - just an awkward time to order! Also got free meat raffle tickets, which, amazing, love a meat raffle. 😂 Worth a stop just for people watching too. Prime position across

Love coming to the cow. Always a good meal but I had the nachos today and talk about boring. No salsa. So dry. I had it a few months ago and there was no salsa and thought it was a mistake. Had it again today and no salsa.

Food is pricey considering the mediocre quality. Ordered steak to be cooked medium, and it came overcooked past well done - was overly dry and tough. Nachos & Guinness pie were acceptable.

Great food great atmosphere recently gone under refurbishment. Downstairs bar looks excellent cant wait for the limits due to covid to be removed so this place can get back to the legendary local it use to be.

This is bit of a rough and tumble railway pub. The beer garden is usually fairly busy of an afternoon and on Friday/ Saturday nights. The bistro is pretty good. They do steak, burgers, schnitzel, pasta and some seafood/ salad type options. The pub is quite old and has a very historical feel about it. The upstairs area is divided into smaller spaces, so it quite good if your looking for a place to have a more private meal. They take big bookings and they are very accommodating for large groups. Like all good bistros, portions are large and prices are good. The schnitzel is a great options for a hungry

Inexpensive meal I had here with a friend was lovely. Beer selection was nice and broad and the food was great for such an inexpensive price. Would recommend this pub during the Panthers NRL season and would come here again if around the area to catch a match.

Red Cow is an awesome pub that is situated in front of Penrith Station. All you have to do is walk across the road and you're there! I used to work in Penrith and my workmates would tell me to try this place out for lunch. I'm mainly writing this review for its LUNCH SPECIAL. I know most pubs have lunch specials at low prices but I quite love this one.

They have a wide range of variety from a rump steak (with chips & salad), chicken schnitzel, roast of the day (beef, pork, lamb), barramundi fish & chips and a few sandwiches that are of decent serving. The steak and the schnitzel

The food is very cheap, and surprisingly large/tasty, as long as you're not vegan/vegetarian/lactose intolerant. If you're any of those three, you're in trouble.

The staff always seem so unhappy, though somehow I seem to get a smile out of them. Most of my friends don't and always complain about it.

They can't take bookings. We have regularly booked the back room only to find another name in there (without any notice to us of the booking being changed) and 1/3 to 1/5th of the room utilised by this other group, meanwhile we are squeezed in to a tiny area that can in no

I'm normally in/out of the Red Cow to meet mates, have a drink and move on. The place is always clean and modern looking, and even though the patrons look a bit rough when you walk past on the street, they're really not once you get inside.

I had dinner upstairs, and was impressed by the quality of the food. Easily the best ribs in Penrith, beating the other steak house restaurants in Penrith hands down.

Who'd know for a pub across from the station, hey! Worth giving it a shot for dinner, just make sure you head upstairs :)

Located in Penrith, right opposite the train station (you can't miss it), Red Cow is a casual, pre-drink kind of establishment. It has a very pretty, cosy outdoor area beneath the canopies of a few lovely trees, fenced off from the rest of the street.

It's not particularly loud, or lively, but it's a nice, quaint place to have a few drinks and relax a bit before heading out to a more exciting destination.
It's the kind of place that would be wonderful to have a drink at after a hard day at work.

If you're in the area and a little bored, give it a whirl. Drinks are
