Our practice has 6 vets with multiple interests and experience. We service Torquay, the Surf Coast & indeed have clients who come to us from Geelong & Melbourne - because they love the service and ethos of our practice. The vets constantly stay up to date with veterinary advances by attending continuing education courses and conferences, as well as daily online study.
We have many vet specific & specialist resources available to us and pride ourselves on being able to access the knowledge we need to help with difficult problems across our field. We have a range of modern equipment and a great hospital to help us do the job well. At the end of the day the pet loving clients we attract drive the vet service we strive to deliver.

Services
We understand that your pets are a much loved member of your family and deserve the highest quality healthcare. We do everything possible to assure the best opportunity for them by providing them with outstanding veterinary services and after hours care. Our vet clinic is a very cat friendly practice too, with a dedicated cat consultation room and cat waiting room.
Torquay Animal House strives to offer a high quality veterinary service so that your pet can enjoy a healthy, happy life. We are strong supporters of Pet Health Insurance. Owning a pet can be expensive. We are all aware of regular expenses such as feeding, flea and worm control, neutering, annual health checks and vaccinations.
Emergencies are accepted anytime our clinic is open, unfortunately this often means clients coming in for an appointment may need to be patient while we attend to a crisis. We have experienced veterinarians and nurses on duty 6 days a week who are fully trained and equipped to handle any needs your pet has.
Graduating in Dublin, Ireland in 1984. Darina and I came to Australia in 1987. After 6 years at Kyneton (north west of Melbourne) in a very mixed practice. The family (now with 3 young kids) moved to Torquay in 1993, to set up a veterinary practice from scratch. We found it to be such a wonderful place and intended to stay here forever!

Was made to feel really stupid after asking to buy cat food and was told I needed a prescription or previous vet history (which is fine, just didn’t know I needed it). The nurse was so cold and rude and also closed the door in my face as she ran to answer the phone instead and left me standing there mid conversation without telling me what she was doing? Won’t be moving to this vet.

Such great staff ! 'Professional and Compassionate' best describes Torquay Animal House, and our long history with them (18 years!) is proof of it. Our last visit was for the recent passing of our little cat - all the staff's gentle and considerate manner, and excellant care of our little patient was truly amazing !

I'd just like to say thankyou for the way Dr Lara helped us navigate the last weeks and eventual passing of our beautiful dog "Buffy" ... i always felt like Buffy's wellbeing was Lara's primary concern, and the way she liaised with us [bedside manner] was ver helpful and much appreciated.
Also a mention to Dr Mark, who helped Buffy's last month or two be active and full of play due to some medication that otherwise would have seen her suffer.

Our little mini dachshund, Theodore has attended here for both scheduled and those pesky unexpected visits. Rather then be treated like that anxious dog Mumma, every staff member I have encountered here just fills you with reassurance, care, shows full transparency and most of all kindness and respect. Communication, explanations and rationale of any illness and or treatment is so thorough and care post surgery is excellent. You even get an email of all the procedure details, treatment provided and ongoing care, which is amazing when you need to submit to pet insurance, understand what has occurred

My name is Dr Adam Campbell from the Altona Veterinary Clinic. It is rare that one vet clinic would leave a 5 star review for another, however in this case I felt compelled to do so. The level of professionalism, care and generosity shown by this veterinary clinic is second to none. I had the pleasure of seeing how wonderful their standards of care are in dealing with a critically ill puppy owned by a close friend of mine. Wonderful outcome and just wanted to say a big thank to the team at Torquay Animal House Vets.
