Worst renting experience in the last five years was through these guys. Rude and unprofessional, and clearly hadn't even checked that the house was clean before we moved in because we had to move all the furniture out in the first week to get the carpets done, cos the previous tenants had forged the invoice. They did not care at all. And then tried to have a go at us on the way out over some minor issues that had been included in the initial condition report.

We recently opened a lease with Bertram Ellis and it has been an absolutely great experience. We move a lot as a family. It is extremely rare to find a company that cares this much about its properties and the tenants. During our initial inspection of the house, I was immediately impressed with the detail of the walk through inspection sheet… provided by the company. It had pictures from all over the house that highlighted every detail of it's current condition. Needless to say, if I had a house in Canberra, I wouldn't think twice to use them as a property manager.

Tom Ellis sold our house and did an awesome job especially given my house was a unique floor plan and was not going to appeal to everyone. He was very professional and answers every question and there was lots of questions,nothing was s problem for him. Tom is an expert in every way and we couldn't be happier with his work

When it came time to sell our home in Weston Creek, we had four local agents through to give us an appraisal. We chose Tom Ellis from Bertram Ellis because he made the selling process straightforward for us. We liked the way Tom identified the strengths of our home, without "overselling" it. In the end, our house sale could not have been more straightforward and we achieved a result that exceeded our expectations. It was a good experience all round. Recommended.

Really terrible. We bought our house from Tom Ellis, and he was just nasty. We were upfront and clear about when we'd have the deposit paid and when we would make final payment, and he rang us to tell me that he was going to sell to someone else as he had a better offer - even though the vendor had accepted our offer. We ended up closing the deal on the agreed day, but only after us pleading with him not to sell it from under us. Hated the experience, when we sell out of Chapman, it won't be with Bertram Ellis. Avoid like the plague if you have any morals.
