There's positivity in the air! We can't wait to reopen our doors to you all in Mid-October, and get back to doing what we love: pouring beers and serving up schnitties!. The grand Greenwood Hotel is a historic drinking and dining institution, located on Blue Street in the heart of North Sydney. Originally built in 1878 as a public school, it became The Greenwood Hotel in 1992 and has been a popular social destination ever since.

We have plenty of open spaces to enjoy socialising without the worry. And with the cooler weather setting in, we're lighting our fire pits every night so you can stay nice and warm. Our Northern Courtyard is dog-friendly so join us with your pooch, or drop in for one of our famous Chicken Schnitzels or 2 for 1 pizzas Thursdays.
Services
With the cooler months setting in, we're launching our new Autumn menu featuring hearty favourites and delicious new dishes. Fresh additions include our Harissa Cauliflower Salad, Riverina Leg Lamb Chop and the return of an old Greenwood favourite, the Wagyu Royale Burger. New pizzas have also just landed including Chicken Diablo, Vegano & Prawn Puttanesca.
Swap your trackpants for the racetrack, and get ready for your first official chance to celebrate our new-found freedom as Greenwood Hotel's annual Melbourne Cup festivities return in 2021! Greenwood is now Dog friendly in our Northern courtyard! We also have doggy snacks available to purchase at the bar.

Really cool venue, lots of space, good food. Beer selection could use some more crafties but all the standards are there.

Perform place for a party. Great drinks selection and friendly staff. Only negative is that when catering for a party they serve people and then take the platters away instead of leaving the rest of the food with the group.

One of the best venues. It just would have been nice if vodka red bull’s weren’t $18 and there was even a sign saying they were $15, but the staff said those are prices for every other day. Gouging at its finest.

We were at the Greenwood Hotel for a work function for Melbourne Cup, about 10 of us. The original invite had said from 11.30-3.30 which included a drinks package and food during that time. My colleague and I went to the bar before 3.30pm to order drinks but were told the drinks package ended at 3pm and an email had gone out a few days ago. We didn't have the email and the bartender then called over the manager to handle the situation. The manager showed us the email that went out and we acknowledged this and apologised for not realising. The manager left and we turned back to our bartender to

Lovely old building the timber work in the ceiling/roof is next level carpentry. Beer prices where almost a steep as the roof pitch $14 a pint. Loads of seating and staff were ok to good. Definitely worth pooping in for a pint just to see the building.

Good for a quick pint. Loud unruly and uncomfortable. Not much to go for it other than lots of space and plenty of bars. Staff are good but can be surly.

Not a bad place to get lunch for a group. Food is nothing amazing (I had the steak which was a bit undercooked for medium, and head a lot of fat) especially for the price, but does the job. Service is good and it's a great setting. The safety precautions at the moment are pretty solid for the current climate with scanning on entry. Menus are only presented in phone scan format which is a bit annoying (honestly it could be on a wall poster and that'll still be socially aware) but a small inconvenience really. Love the old building, and there's good space inside and out and a handy location to the
