The security here are renowned for picking on people who hesitate when answering how many drinks they had, have a bit of a stutter, a lazy eye or other medical issues, or just because they look different. Unfortunately they've had the same security for a long time now and so nothing has changed. The main issue is the angry looking bald man who is always there. He never smiles, clearly is unhappy with life and takes it out on patrons. How has management retained this guy who is responsible for destroying what was once a great venue? I'd hate to think how much $$$ the bar has lost. Really sad seeing

Unfortunately my review is much the same as most of the others on here.
I have been to this establishment many times as I work in the local area. Through the day or for booking functions I have had great experiences but I no longer go here for evening entertainment.
After work social events we have gone to this pub. I am always stone cold sober when I am with my staff as I feel it is my responsibility to make sure they are safe but three times now I have been refused entry because "I have had enough to drink", "tonight is not your night love" and one night without a word of conversion told no

Managed to get in just before the kitchen closed and ordered a steak, pizza and steak and Guinness pie. Really disappointed. The meal took 30 minutes to come out. Steak was over cooked and fries were only just luke warm (at best). The salad was out of the fridge (super cold) and not fresh. The pie was supposed to have mashed potatoes but instead had old baked potatoes that were hard and chewie. The pie had little flavour and was dry. I’ve seen better pies at the servo. No staff around to really help. No one came by to ask how everything was. Pretty disappointed. The kitchen made no effort to

Nice pub. The beer tastes great. I would give this place more stars if the one staff member hadn't been so rude. When I went to the counter to order, he simply ignored me and served the ladies instead... even though I'd been waiting long before they arrived. Fortunately one of the other staff members finally reluctantly served me. When I went to get my 2nd beer, the Asian lady who served me was very nice. She didn't hesitate one bit and she was most pleasant. Some of the other staff members could learn from her.

The management was discriminating my friend that is disable and did not let her in. She had zero alcohol and we told them that she was disable not drunk. Still they were so rude. In the end they asked us all to leave because we were “arguing “ Zero respect and fully discriminatory. We should called police but our friend was embarrassed enough so we just left! Don’t go there if you want respect because is certainly something that you not gonna have there. Also the manager was SO RUDE! She should not be working in customer service!

I haven't been to the Crows Nest hotel for a while and it was a really nice venue. Had the chicken burger and it was a pleasantly surprise. Tasty and the chips were great. They were very good with current restrictions making sure t that the venue was not overcrowded and the bar had clear signage. I would highly recommend for groups wanting to catch up.

Great space with so many areas that one can easily get lost in it! One of the best lunch specials in the area with great variety including burgers and chips for just $12, a bargain! Great daily happy hour for drinks as well! Really cool local hang out! Always great tunes! Live music on the weekends! Open till late!

A facelift hasn't done anything to change the culture and poor history of disinterested staff and over zealous security staff. The place is still a refuge for UFC aspirants and staff that consider their own needs exceed those on the other side of the counter. This place is rough, tough and ready to disgust you.
