Dr Vanessa has dreamt of being a vet for as far back as she can remember! She loves all aspects of general practice, so much so that even after 20 years in small animal practice she still loves talking about fleas! Her special interests include dentistry, soft tissue surgery and fostering the human-animal bond.
We aim to provide you with exceptional service, value for money and to give your furry family the best veterinary care possible. Here at Happy Paws we believe that the best relationships are based on honesty and trust. We want you and your fur babies to have confidence in your entire veterinary team!
Plenty of time to get a full history from you and to perform a thorough examination of your fur baby. Every consultation at Happy Paws includes a full nose to tail examination of your pet. We allow 30 minutes for routine consultations to ensure we have plenty of time to get a good history from you, examine your fur baby, discuss our findings, provide treatment and/or run diagnostic tests and make recommendations.
Our friendly team are very knowledgeable and would be happy to answer any questions you have. Ongoing preventative care is the best way to ensure your pet will live a healthy and happy life. We recommend all pets have a complete wellness check every year. During this visit the vets at Happy Paws Vet Clinic will be able to examine your pet from nose to tail.

Happy Paws team were amazing, and really put the well being of the cat first. Initially had a diagnosis from a different vet clinic in Arundel who did not know me and after a 5min rough handling of the cat said, needed eye and dental treatment and if we cannot afford it, put it down because he is in bad shape. (What!!!) Shocking and because I was wearing a mask, could not see my open mouth dropped to the floor in horror. The cat named Yesmio did not belong to me, and I was just helping the owner who is a sick elderly woman take it in for a check up.

We brought our 5 year old cat into to be desexxed, she had never been to a vet before and this was her first time. The staff were so friendly and treated her like their own. When we got her back they had told us she was a delight and were so clear with how to look after her after her surgery. I honestly would recommend happy paws to any pet owner living on the Gold Coast. The staff, the pricing, the clinic all just 10/10. 💯

It's awesome to recommend a vet knowing that anyone who goes will be blown away with their service.
Previously to attending happy paws, we were regulars at numerous Greencross vets over the GC, unfortunately, every experience we had resulted in us walking out disappointed and frustrated. Whether it was the vet referring to our dog by the wrong gender or not taking the time or care to build any form of a bond, we were seriously underwhelmed with the service provided.
However, this is now a distant memory at happy paws vets, and we (including our dogs) could not be happier.

We moved to qld at the start of the year and got so lucky to have happy paws as our local vet. I thought I would try happy paws because they were the closest to home. We have been twice now and I am SO impressed with with service. We see Dr. Jess, she is so nice. She really cares and listens. I feel comfortable asking questions and I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a new vet!

So happy with the entire team at Happy Paws. From the moment you walk in the door to the time you leave, you just know that your pet will be well taken care of. Even though the clinic was fully booked for the day, they accommodated an emergency appointment for my dachshund and took amazing care of her. Happy Paws is, hands down, the best veterinary clinic I have taken my pets to.

The staff were amazing, friendly, vet Jess was so professional, she gave me a thorough understanding of everything that was going to happen with the consult and the treatment if needed. I left not only happy but with peace of mind knowing that my next visit with them myself and my pet will be looking forward to it. I cannot recommend this vets highly enough, they go above and beyond, every member of staff not just the vets, that's rare a huge thank you
