Vaccinating your pet is one of the most important things you can do to ensure they lead a healthy life. Vaccinations are substantially less expensive than the cost of vet treatment for the diseases they protect against. Vaccinations protect your pet from transmissible diseases in boarding facilities, at parks and even when they visit the vet.
Dental disease is one of the most common diseases in cats and dogs on the Gold Coast. Not only is dental disease painful for your pet, but the increased bacteria in their mouth can be associated with other conditions such as kidney disease, heart disease, and liver disease. As many as eight in ten pets have dental disease!
Regular worming is an essential part of good pet ownership. Intestinal worms live in the gastrointestinal system of cats and dogs and include hookworm, roundworm, whipworm and tapeworm. They can cause severe diarrhoea and disease, especially in puppies and kittens. Heartworm is the disease that nightmares are made of!

They are the most amazing caring wonderful people and I am so truly grateful that I have had them in my life over the past 11 years but especially the last few couple of years having a few emergencies and difficult experiences with my Mini Schnauzer who means more to me than I ever thought possible. No one I would recommend more highly. Thank you to the whole team from the bottom of my heart ❤️

I went to this vet hoping for quality service since reading so many great reviews. I was disappointed with this. The team weren’t at all very friendly and my consultation felt quite rushed and not personal. I also felt the cost for the service I received was quite excessive. I didn’t receive a receipt to show what I was actually paying for nor did I receive physical results for a test that was taken which considering the cost I felt I was entitled to. I also prefer to use natural remedies before giving my animals any sort of drugs and this vet I felt just wanted to dose my cat up on prescription

We’ve been blessed to have Oxenford Veterinary Surgery by our pets’ sides for years now and can not recommend them highly enough. Dr Chris and Paula saw me through the loss of my childhood dog, and my heart dog with the same care and compassion we receive from the whole team today for our current babies. Thank you for everything that you do xx

After Max, our black lab was diagnosed with a brain tumour and received radiation treatment at a specialist animal hospital in Brisbane, we knew we were just ‘buying time’ but wanted to find a local vet who would get to know Max and help us when the inevitable did happen as our previous experience of vets had been us seeing different people all the time. Oxenford Veterinary Surgery were recommended to us and have been fabulous. They spent time getting to know Max, his little bro Sam and us and just being able to call without having to explain whose owner I was and why I was calling proves just

We have 2 Maltese dogs one of which was senior. He had a heart murmur for many years however through the professional and wonderful care form Chris and the Vet nurses we had him for far longer than we expected. I cannot speak highly enough of all the staff. Sadly he was put to sleep recently due to significant deterioration and the compassion shown was exemplary. We will continue to take our remaining dog to the surgery and I highly recommend taking your pets here for great care compassion and truthfulness. There is no upselling or pressure like some surgeries just good old fashion quality care
